Taste Test - Titania

Taste Test - [Titania]

This build is designed for people who don't know if they enjoy [Titania], and want to find out. Use this guide to properly kit a newly rank 30 [Titania], and test it out on the suggested missions with the suggested playstyle.

Limitations

This build is intentionally taking the following limitations, to ensure a very open level of accessibility.

  • No Primed mods or other Baro mods used
  • No Umbral mods
  • No Forma, Reactor, or Catalyst needed
  • No mods past rank 8
  • No limited time mods or unobtainable mods
  • No augments

Corrupted Warframe mods may be employed since they are generally imperative for most builds

Arcanes listed are optional recommendations, to be used if the player already owns them. These may be safely ignored.

Usage

IMPORTANT! To be used with the following [Dex Pixia] build: Taste Test - Titania - Dex Pixia

Recommended Missions

Survival - Mot (Void T4)

If unavailable, pick the highest level (non-infested) Survival mission available.

Feel free to run alone or in a party.
Start out by jumping into Razorwing, and try not to leave this form for the duration of the mission if you can avoid it. At the current duration and efficiency, you should have no problems staying in Razorwing for nearly the full duration of the mission - Plus, [Aviator] combined with the natural Razorwing evasion should handle any threat this mission would have posed.

With the [Dex Pixia], you should find no issue killing everything in sight. Run for maybe 5 to 10 minutes to get comfortable with the archwing-indoors style of play. Don't pay any mind to your other abilities for the moment.

Mobile Defense - Charybdis (Sedna)

If unavailable, pick your highest Grineer or Infested mobile defense.

This round, avoid Razorwing - we'll be spending a little time working with some of the other abilities. Bring your favorite Primary and Secondary weapons. I recommend doing this mission solo, if you are comfortable with your weaponry.

When carrying the Mobile Defense item from point to point, make sure to press and hold your 1 skill to apply Spellbind to yourself, making you immune to the status effects of the common electric and magnetic traps you'll find in Grineer strongholds. At the current duration of ~25 seconds, it should be enough to make it between defense locations.

When defending points, focus on keeping a Lantern (or two) near the defense point. Once set up, you should be able to sit back and relax for a bit, as the lanterns will distract and pacify nearly all nearby enemies. The nearly 40 second duration means you should at most need to reapply it twice at each point. Note that lantern effectiveness seems to be affected by line of sight, and occasionally takes some time to distract all enemies within range.

Consider applying the Thorns and Dust tributes while at the defense points. At a 50% damage reduction and 50% evasion increase respectively, this should be an effective 75% damage reduction for the two minutes of point defense.

To get a good feel for the true range of your Lanterns, place a waypoint on your current Lantern, and walk away until you're at a distance of 35 meters - this should represent the attraction radius of your Lantern, and it should be a rather considerable size.

Interception - Mithra (Void T4)

If unavailable, please select the highest available Interception mission.

I highly recommend running this in a full party, as doing otherwise will change the experience entirely.

Keep personal focus on a single point. Combine the strategies applied in the previous two missions for an effective defense. Razorwing will help you travel between points very quickly, and Lantern usage will help keep your point secure.

Once you have your point captured, you can leave a Lantern at it and Razorwing to help around the rest of the map. Keep in mind that Lantern effectiveness can be intermittent, and some enemies will still occasionally get to the consoles at your point - you're responsible for getting back in time to clean it up as needed.

If an overwhelming number of enemies is clustered at a single point, make use of a targetted Spellbind cast. With the increased range, it should immediately pacify a very significant portion of the enemies around your target.

If the party is full, there should be enough enemies spawning to support you staying in Razorwing for a good portion of the match, even combined with the other skill usage - especially if you take some time away from your home point on occasion to collect loot from around the arena.

Rationale

A proper [Titania] build, for high tier content, should generally include a measure of Ability Strength; however, for testing in the recommended locations, it is far from imperative.

The most imperative stats for [Titania] are Ability Duration and Efficiency; however, Ability Range gives the best feel and understanding for actually employing the rest of her skill-kit.

Many endgame builds play specifically for Razorwing usage, sacrificing Ability Range and foregoing use most of the other abilities; however, a heavy focus on Ability Strength can [Sacrifice] a lot of utility (Ability Range) to increase the raw damage output, when baseline damage is already overkill for the average everyday missions.

This Taste Test build is designed to give a well-rounded experience with the frame, instead of focusing on a singular aspect.

Pros, Cons, and Other Notes

  • Overall, Titania is a well rounded frame with high mobility, that permits strong offensive and defensive play, and just a drop of self-sustain.
  • Razorwing permits a strong, single-targetted offensive playstyle, with a high base mobility.
  • The remainder of Titania's skillkit permits a variety of defensive and supportive play, with two options for crowd control.
  • Her mobility when augmented by Razorwing Blitz becomes nearly unparalleled.
  • Razorwing uses Archwing controls, which some may find extremely unappealing.
  • [Titania]'s Tributes are particularly special, in that they act like Auras when applied, and are mostly unaffected by all ability stats. Their radius, duration, and effectiveness cannot be altered.
  • Titania's crowd control has variety, but is not going to be as strong as a good Limbo or Gara.
  • Titania lacks in any good measure of AOE-based damage dealing. Lantern can act as such, but does not compare to the power and efficiency of an Ember or Mesa when it comes to clearing a room.
  • [Titania]'s ability use will apply an unscaled healing buff to herself and surrounding allies for 4 health per second, over 20 seconds - a weak passive that is only occasionally helpful.
