Sevagoth's wrist-mounted sidearm fires a chilling slow-moving slab, guaranteed to slow enemies for easier marksmanship. Charge the shot to fire a punishing high-velocity, high critical chance slab that punches through barriers. Deals additional headshot damage in Sevagoth's hands.

Epitaph - Status Chance

Compatible with this crit build for the Epitaph Charged Shot, allowing you to swich back and forth as desired.

This half of the [Epitaph] build focuses on the uncharged shot, an AoE explosive with a 50% status chance. A perfect partner for glaives looking to use Volatile Quick Return for the following reasons:

  • One-Handed Secondary: this allows it to be equiped in your off hand while wielding a glaive-type weapon.
  • Status Chance: Rattleguts can be customized to have a fairly high base status chance.
  • Bullets (not beam): allows multi-shot mods to indirectly increase status chance.
  • No Clip: only has an ammo reserve and doesn't need to reload, something that other guns require pausing [Glaive] throws to do.

After multishiot and mods are accounted for, thats 435% status chance! With damage distribution that should guarantee 1 viral proc and 1 heat proc to everyone hit by the AoE, priming a huge area to be hit by the [Glaive] follow up. This strategy is almost a 4x damage multiplier to your [Glaive] damage and can easily be done between throws.

As for its own damage output, this weapon excells at status ailment killing, stacking slash and viral procs on direct hits to evaporate anything who's armor is just too much to deal with using AoE attacks. This makes it a good stand-alone option on top of complimenting a [Glaive].

Designed to Partner with Nidus - Swarm Lord and Pathocyst - Volatile Strain
