Katya: Umbral Forma and a Dream: 525% strength!

Looking for a way to spend one or both of those two Umbral Forma from the end of the last season of Nightwave? Why not spend them on [Wisp], arguably one of the best frames in the game, and supercharge her while you're at it? Your squad will love you as they soak up and heal through absurd amounts of damage and move at a dizzying speed, crashing into walls and door frames and getting bruises in terribly unfortunate places. Women will want you. Fish will fear you. Let's get started!

Want to pull off this build without needing to dump two Umbral Forma into a single frame? You can purchase and install an unranked Umbral Vitality from Simaris for 100k rep and have a little mod capacity to spare so you start with more energy in-mission, or you can upgrade the [Umbral Vitality] up to rank 4 for a little bit more health(your obscene power strength ensures you have plenty whether you upgrade the mod or not).

You are welcome to move Empower over the top of Sol Gate if you wish, and depending on your playstyle, that may well be the better choice due to the 3 seconds of invulnerability Wil-O-[Wisp] affords you.

First, some math! Your favorite part, I know.

Strength before buffs:
100% baseline Wisp strength
99% Blind Rage
55% Transient Fortitude
24% Augur Secrets
77% Umbral Intensify w/ full Umbral set bonus
15% [Power Drift]
Subtotal: 370% power strength

Buffs from mods and ability:
370% strength before buffs
50% Empower
50% [Energy Conversion]
25% [Growing Power]
Subtotal: 495% power strength

Pax Bolt Arcane:
495% strength with other buffs
30% Pax Bolt R3 Arcane

Grand total: 525% power strength!

Here's how to hit 495% strength!

1. Cast Empower. Casting it after your [Energy Conversion] proc will make it consume your strength boost from [Energy Conversion]. It must be first.
2. Pick up an energy orb to activate [Energy Conversion].
3. Apply a status effect to an enemy to proc [Growing Power]. Must be done with a weapon as ability status effects do not trigger it. [Growing Power] only lasts 6 seconds, be aware!
4. Did you make it this far with Empower, Energy Conversion, and Growing Power all active?

  • Yes: Great! Place a reservoir with 495% power strength!
  • No: If you only have the other two buffs(Empower and Energy Conversion), proc Growing Power again and place your reservoir within the 6-second window. If you're missing one of the other two, you've done something wrong.

495% Power Strength Mote/Reservoir Stats:

  • 1485 Additional HP
  • 148.50 Health regenerated/second
  • 99.00% Bonus movement speed
  • 148.50% Bonus attack speed
  • 38.40s Buff duration
  • 5m Reservoir Range
  • 15m Shock Range
  • 38.75 Energy cost

Want to go even further, all the way to 525% strength, with a lower cost to cast? Equip a Kitgun with a maxed Pax Bolt arcane, and then:

1. Cast Empower. Casting it after your Pax Bolt or [Energy Conversion] proc will make it consume your strength boost from them. It must be first.
2. Pick up an energy orb to activate [Energy Conversion].
3. Apply a status effect to an enemy to proc [Growing Power]. Must be done with a weapon as ability status effects do not trigger it. [Growing Power] only lasts 6 seconds, be aware!
4. Kill an enemy(probably the same one) with the Kitgun with a headshot with Pax Bolt equipped(additional 30% power strength!)
5. Did you make it this far with Empower, Energy Conversion, Growing Power, and Pax Bolt all active?

  • Yes: Great! Place a reservoir with 525% power strength, and with 30% more efficiency(reduces cost to 31.25 energy)!
  • No: If you only have the other three buffs(Empower, Energy Conversion, and Pax Bolt), proc Growing Power again and place your reservoir within the 6-second window. If you're missing one of the other three, you've done something wrong. Take your time and repeat the sequence; you will get it down before you know it. Practice makes perfect!

525% Power Strength Mote/Reservoir Stats:

  • 1575 Additional HP
  • 157.50 Health regenerated/second
  • 105.00% Bonus movement speed
  • 157.50% Bonus attack speed
  • 38.40s Buff duration
  • 5m Reservoir Range
  • 15m Shock Range
  • 31.25 Energy cost

Tips: This Build

Arcanes! Pick what you want or what you have available to you. The choices I've made for the build are for my own peace of mind; sometimes a Discord message comes in and you just have to read it even though you're on wave 40 of Arbitration defense, only to see that it was CatboyCas "nya"ing at you for the 4th time today, and you tab back in to find most of your health gone, your sentinel dead, and your Warframe inside six nullifier bubbles.

Combine with an Exothermic-augmented [Ember] or a frame with [Protea]'s Dispensary for best effect; the easier your access to energy orbs, the less you have to worry about gaming power strength outside of applying a status effect, and the sooner you can quit stressing over it and rest easy with your super-powered motes protecting you and your squad.

Alternatively, you can get more regular use of [Energy Conversion] by equipping [Wisp] with [Protea]'s Dispensary: https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Dispensary This may be considerably more comfortable, and combos well with weapons with poor ammo efficiency such as Bramma or Kuva Kohm as well as archguns, though it's not quite as strong(445/475%) due to the lack of Empower.

Tips: General

If you've chosen to put Empower in the fourth ability slot, over the top of Sol Gate, you have Wil-O-[Wisp] available to you. It's a fantastic ability in large part because of the invulnerability it grants you for 3 seconds. It can be used to bypass laser barriers, trivializing a good chunk of spy missions, and has synergy with Breach Surge, allowing you and your [Ghost] bud to cast it in two locations at once if you activate Surge while the [Ghost] is traveling. The [Ghost] also diverts attention onto itself and away from you for its duration, and combined with the window of invulnerability after teleportation to its location, will give you a little breathing room while your health mote refills your HP.

Breach Surge has synergy with Reservoirs; aim at a reservoir or near it while outside the reservoir's area of effect and a round symbol in your energy color will pop up. Press 3 to surge and you will be teleported to the reservoir, and as a bonus, your surge's range will double! There is no limit to the teleportation range as long as the reservoir is within line-of-sight; I've personally teleported a good 500m away on the Plains.

Do the best you can to abuse [Wisp]'s passive. It honestly feels a bit busted when you go back to other frames and realize you're not invisible every time you jump. The more you're in the air, the less enemies can see and attack you, and the greater your survivability. Be aware that firing a weapon will break your invisibility, but it will return momentarily if you remain airborne, or can be refreshed by landing and jumping again. The invisibility also continues for a moment after [Wisp] lands, allowing you to remain permanently invisible as long as you keep jumping.

Please save shock reservoirs for when they're needed! If you need the enemies controlled to keep yourself or the objective safe, go for it! But please, don't just place them because they're next in line after health and haste; if they're not needed, they're only slowing enemies and the pace of the mission, costing you precious time you could be idling at Maroo's Bazaar or your dojo and hoping someone will compliment your fashionframe(or is that just me?). Your squad will appreciate it!

Lastly, and most importantly, have fun! It's the entire point of playing the game.
