The "You Don't need Melee Attack Speed Mods when You use this Volt Melee Build" Build.

High-Speed Melee [Volt] Build. Requires Helminth.

Installing Umbral Forma to [Volt] soon so I might do a different build with Umbral Forma.

Here's a Melee [Volt] build I've been using for a while and recently upgraded with the Helminth system. With this build, you don't even need attack speed mods with high survivability. Damage output itself depends on your melee weapon of choice. The build is for utility and survivability while you rampage around with your favorite melee.

plus, all abilities are useful. The build has been used in Steel Path multiple times.

So, what to do with this build? Your first 3 abilities are all active abilities with duration, which is why I focused more on duration than other stats. While Speed is an insta-cast, Warcry and Electric Shield are not. Warcry takes the longest to cast.

Simple guide steps to this build:

-Cast Electric Shield and equip it (since this is a melee build you can equip your shield while using your melee.) The shield negates all attacks from your front.

-Cast Warcry before Speed since Warcry has a longer cast duration. These abilities combined will make your melee speed and running speed goes swoosh. While also giving survivability.

-Use Discharge for 3 different things. CC, Healing, and overshield (through [Capacitance] augment).

Arcane [Fury] for sweet extra damage. Arcane Energize because energy consumption is pretty heavy.

Optional: changing [Adaptation] with [Eternal War]. Personally I used Warcry for it's attack speed and long duration. While Warcry does give extra armor it's worth noting that [Capacitance] only fills your shield, which is not affected by armor rating.

More Optional: the Strain Mod set is pretty neat when combined with this, since it gives extra damage. I like to bring my [Helminth Charger] with me when I do melee runs. You dont have to worry about it dying with the [Pack Leader] mod.

P.S first guide, and first time in overframe. Hello.
