After the new Hearth of Deimos update the Acolyte mods have become very cheap making a [Weeping Wounds] build for newer players much easier.
The goal of this build is to do as much bleed damage from the slash procs as possible, making this good for Steel path and endurance runs, you just need to spam your melee button for that big bleed damage.
For optimal damage you should change the smite mod to the corresponding faction that you are fighting against, u can even use primed versions if you have them, but that would require and extra forma.
And the "Spring Loaded Blade" could easily be changed out for another mod like "Gladiator Might" for some crit damage and crit chance, or "Gladiator Rush" if you feel like needing some longer combo duration, but for combo duration i prefer "Drifting Contact" for the bonus status chance.
If you have the "Helios" with its "Deconstructor" weapon you can put "Gladiator Might", "Gladiator Rush" and "Gladiator Vice" for 30% extra crit chance per combo multiplier, for those spicy redcrits.
I usually use this build with [Nidus] using his 2 with a lot of range so i can pull in more enemies and nuke them with this build, and on top of that [Nidus] cannot die making him a killer machine in long endurance runs. My Nidus build
This build is not only good on the "Broken War" it can also be used on other good slash weapons like the "Nikana" or the prime version.
