Strictly speaking a Smite mod would be much better than an attack speed mod. However, this weapon as a combo pause mechanic, which means light attacks aren't completely out of the question. It could be very interesting to build up a huge heavy attack and keep it tucked away until it's really needed. For example, sending an acolyte back to the shadow realm.

The innate element usually does not matter for heavy builds, but the spinning disc of death this weapon throws out on slide heavies might be useful; particularly against Corpus units who might have vastly more shields than health. That being said, most mobs from any faction tend to crumble once hit with the disc, regardless.
