[Nekros] is the best farming warframe in the game. This is a fairly basic set up that will get the most use out of it.

Recommended Loadout

• Melee Weapon - Ripkas: these have a unique mod called [Amalgam Ripkas True Steel] that has a 100% chance to "gore" an enemy, meaning their corpse splits into two. This actually creates two corpses for Nekros to Desecrate, doubling your odds of getting drops. Yes, this is a real mechanic for Nekros.
• Primary Weapon - Exergis: Amalgam [Ripkas] Ture Steel also gives shotgun reload speed, increasing dps for frequent reload shotguns and still benefiting from the 100% gore chance
• Companion - Helios or Dethcube: Companions with [Synth Fiber] pick up health orbs even when at full health, ensuring you get Equilibrium's energy and Health Conversion's armor

Mods Explained

Farming Mods

• Despoil: this uses your health instead of energy to fuel Desecrate. This free's up your energy for every other ability.
• Reach: helps Desecrate reach a lot of extra corpses which is handy when your running with a squad.

Tank Mods

• 214% Ability Strength + [Shield Of Shadows]: SoS damage reduction scales with ability strength, capped at 90% when you [Reach] 215% ability strength. Using Blind Rage and Power Drift gets us to 89.88% so safely achieved. The efficiency doesn't really hurt thanks to...
• Equilibrium: Converts Health Orbs to energy, which allows Shadows of the Dead to be up more often.
• [Health Conversion]: Desecrate has an increased chance of spawning health orbs, so your going to be maxing this constantly, keeping you safe.
• Vitality: using your health as energy is semi-dangerous despite percautions, so its good to have a lot of it.
• Adaptation: Best Tank mod in the game, hands down.

Other Mods and Arcanes

• Corrosive Projection: this helps enemies die far easier in all content of the game.
• Arcane Grace: regenerate huge amounts of HP for us so even with damage and Despoil we should be fine.
• Arcane Guardian: Gives a gigantic amount of armor that turns us into a very durable tank.

Subsumed Ability Options

• Pillage: by subsuming this onto Nekros, you now have a way to easily max your overshields and cleans status ailments, massively increasing survivability.
• Petrify: By replacing [Reach] with [Ore Gaze], you can get even more farming power and a decent offense boost when needed.
