Wisp - Solo Steel Path

Why Use This Build?

  • This build provides a lot of team support and is quite good for solo Steel Path Survival and Disruption.

How to Use This Build

  • When [Wisp] is in the air she is invisible to enemies. You can tell by the particle effect when jumping. Weapons which are not silent will remove this invisibility while in air.
  • Quickly casting the 2nd ability (Wil-O-[Wisp]) gives [Wisp] Invulnerability for three seconds. This can be done to cancel the animation of Breach Surge or protect you from damage.
  • Breach Surge is mainly used as crowd control and extra damage. It can be used to teleport to one of Wisp's Reservoirs if the crosshair is on it. With a Decaying Dragon Key this will refresh your shield gate.
  • To get the most Strength on Reservoir for this build you must be standing in Zenurik's Hardened Wellspring when casting the Reservoir. This should be done again when Molt Augmented reaches the cap at 250 kills or any time you cast Reservoir again.

Abilities

  • Passive - Become invisible to enemies when in the air.
  • Reservoir - This is Wisp's main way to support other players and is very powerful.
  • Wil-O-Wisp - This provides some maneuverability and invulnerability.
  • Breach Surge - The damage bonus and stun on this ability are very useful.
  • Pillage - Sol Gate isn't very useful. Pillage is great with this build because you will be fully stripping shields and armor at 328% Ability Strength and restoring shields for use with Adaptation. Eclipse, Roar, Gloom, or Dispensary are fine instead.

Mods

  • Corrosive Projection - This helps significantly with armor stripping.
  • Primed Sure Footed - This prevents knockdowns which are particularly devastating for Wisp because she loses invisibility when knocked down.
  • Primed Continuity - Some Duration is nice.
  • Primed Flow - This is needed to be able to cast Dispensary often and not be at a disadvantage with 45% ability efficiency.
  • Umbral Intensify - Strength
  • Archon Stretch - This gives some Ability Range which is useful and provides Energy.
  • Blind Rage - Strength. Negative efficiency synergizes with Augur mods.
  • Adaptation - Adaptation requires a build-up that has anti-synergy with Wisps abilities if you are trying not to take damage but shield gating or Pillage make this better than Umbral Fiber. Umbral Fiber increases Strength and is always effective which makes it a solid choice too.
  • Augur Secrets - With the Epitaph this is the second Augur mod which totals 80% of energy spent to go to shields. With a Decaying Dragon Key equipped your shield gate will be refreshed if 71 energy or more is spent. Breach Surge costs 78 Energy with this build which makes it ideal for refreshing the shield gate.
  • Fused Reservoir - This saves a lot of casting time.

Arcanes

  • Arcane Energize - More energy
  • Molt Augmented - This is a permanent +60% buff to Strength but you must recast Reservoir for it to apply. Molt Vigor can be used instead.
  • Magus Elevate - Healing
  • Magus Lockdown - Good survivability and can hold targets in place

Archon Shards

  • 1% Ability Strength is needed to [Reach] 100% armor strip with Pillage so only 1 Strength Shard is required. I also Recommend 1 Casting Speed shard. Parkour Velocity, Armor, Duration, and Strength shards are also good choices. I prefer 2 Parkour Velocity Shards and one more Strength Shard for a total of 1 Casting Speed, 2 Strength, and 2 Parkour Velocity Shards.

Focus Schools

  • I normally use Zenurik for more energy and +20% Strength which is useful on Reservoir.

Weapons

  • I normally use Tenet Envoy with [Hush] so you are invisible while shooting in the air, Epitaph, and Glaive Prime with this build. The [Tenet Envoy] is amazing on [Wisp] because the Haste Mote increases the holster reload speed so you have basically zero downtime reloading. The Tenet Envoy also doesn't have the same ammo issues that other weapons like the Kuva Zarr have.

Companions

Appendix

  • Shield gating is not necessary on Wisp but may be useful in some circumstances.
  • Most [Wisp] builds have way too much survivability when [Wisp] can be invisible or invulnerable whenever necessary. The most upvoted build uses [Brief Respite], [Adaptation], [Umbral Fiber], Arcane [Guardian], Arcane Aegis, and suggests Elemental Ward with Cold.
