Mesa - Solo Steel Path DPS and Tank

Why Use This Build?

  • Mesa has great damage and survivability.

How to Use This Build

  • Usually, you only need to activate the 3rd and 4th ability.

Abilities

  • Passive - Shoot akimbo sidearms 15% faster, reload single-handed sidearms 25% faster, gain 50 Health with no melee weapon equipped.
  • Pillage - This allows Mesa to strip armor and gain Overshields which benefit from Adaptation and Shatter Shield.
  • Shooting Gallery - Gives a damage bonus and jams enemies' guns.
  • Peacemaker - The main reason to use Mesa is for the damage of this ability.

Mods

  • Corrosive Projection - Armor, especially in Steel Path, is the main downfall for Mesa making it take too long to kill enemies after a certain level. That is why this build utilizes armor stripping.
  • Mesa's Waltz - This allows you to roll and walk while in Peacemaker and lets the aiming range expand over time and when moving. Primed Sure Footed can be used instead.
  • Kavat's Grave / Primed Sure Footed - [Kavat's Grace] prevents all hard landings. Primed Sure Footed is fine but requires another forma. Primed Flow should be used here if you don't have Archon Shards.
  • Primed Continuity - Duration for Pillage, Shooting Gallery, and Shatter Shield
  • Umbral Intensify - Strength and makes Umbral Vitality better.
  • Umbral Vitality - Provides a significant amount of EHP and makes Umbral Intensify better.
  • Narrow Minded - More Duration. Range isn't needed for any abilities.
  • Adaptation - This adds the extra survivability that Mesa needs at higher levels.
  • Fleeting Expertise - The added efficiency is great for repeatedly going into and out of Peacemaker but the negative Duration is pretty bad. A lower rank Fleeting Expertise or Streamline is fine instead.
  • Augur Secrets - Strength

Arcanes

  • Arcane Energize - This provides enough energy most of the time.
  • Arcane Velocity - This affects Peacemakers which is a significant boost.
  • Magus Elevate - Healing
  • Magus Lockdown - Good survivability and can hold targets in place

Archon Shards

  • I recommend 1 Energy Max Shard since [Primed Flow] has been replaced. I also recommend 1 Casting Speed and 3 Parkour Velocity Archon Shards. You may want an additional Energy Max Shard or use a Tauforged if you have it. If you are using Tauforged Amber Shards, 2 Parkour Velocity is probably the right amount.
