An ancient weapon designed by the Entrati. Primary fire siphons life essence from the target to fuel a devastating secondary fire. A heavy, oversized automatic rifle with withering fire that delivers rapid heat damage. Secondary fire unleashes an arcing projectile that ricochets off surfaces and enemies, exploding on every impact.

Trumna Viral+Hunter Munitions build + guide

A standard viral + Hunter Munitions mod set up for weapons.

[Trumna] has two types of fire, your primary fire being a fully automatic riffle with explosive rounds and your alt fire being a grenade launcher that launches a grenade that explodes in a 6 meter radius on impact with a surface or enemy and bounces up to 7 times.

In order to shoot/use the secondary fire you need to stack up kills, with the bar in the middle of your screen (right below your aim cursor) indicating how much you're filling it up. This secondary fire absolutely demolishes everything in it's path but it can also sometimes feel very underwhelming since it bounces everywhere after the initial shot, resulting in it missing some targets that it should've hit.

This weapon has three big issues that we will try to fix in different ways.

1st: The fire rate of this weapon is honestly really slow. That's why we can't use Critical Delay (the extra crit chance would actually push our alt fire to orange crits, but it would give us no benefit for the secondary fire) and we have no mod slot space to run Vile Acceleration/Speed Trigger. The way we can fix this fire rate is by running Arcane Acceleration. Adding more fire rate to this weapon isn't a problem since it has a [Mag] capacity of 200 bullets!

2nd: The recoil of the initial shot of this weapon is insanely bad. Brings your aim up to the moon. The way we can fix that is by running Stabilizer on our exilus slot, so this mod is a must.

3rd: The reload speed of this weapon is awful, you'll be standing there watching yourself reload for 5 seconds. It's like not even being able to play the game. That's where a rank5 Primary Merciless comes in handy as it gives us 30% reload speed decrease. This will put our reload speed to 3.8 seconds which is still slow, but bearable. In case this reload speed is still too slow for you, you can always run Synth mods on your pets and then unequip your weapon and equip another one, run around with it for a while and let the [Trumna] reload itself while being holstered.

We are not running Galvanized Aptitude since it doesn't work on aoe (radial attacks) aka what our weapon will be used for.

Bane mods play a huge role in this build because they double dip our HM slash procs and they don't get their damage diluted with other mods.

Hunter Munition is a must because the bleed procs from applying the slash procs are our main damage source.

Please do not remove Serration for other mods such as Vile Acceleration or Bladed Rounds even if the website shows that they will give higher dps. You'll be fully relying on your Primary Merciless arcane and it's procs so that's a big no because without the base damage bonus, trying to ramp it back up to full can become nearly impossible and the gun behaves similarly to when you completely lose your combo meter on a melee weapon. Except imagine if you only built your combo meter back if you killed enemies with your melee. It would make using anything other than Naramon's Focus school untenable for level-cap endurance runs or even reasonably long Steel Path runs.
