Metronomicon {Chapter 8} Fun With Guns

Hello and welcome to chapter 8 of the Metronomicon!

In this chapter will be looking at a "Glass Canon" build utilizing [Vigorous Swap] and Energized Munitions to melt anything and everything with bullets!

This build is very flexible, although this guide will focus on the "glass canon" version, you can easily swap out a bunch of the mods for defensive mods like [Adaptation], [Umbral Vitality] and Umbral [Steel Fiber], to stay alive easier.

This build will also focus on Octaiva's signature weapons Tenora Prime and Pandero Prime

First of all, let's talk about the Helminth ability Energized Munitions.

Energized Munitions costs 50 Energy, and gives you 75% ammo efficiency for 5 seconds. (75% chance to not consume ammo)
The ammo efficiency can NOT be increased, but the ability duration can be increased.
[Narrow Minded] + [Primed Continuity] increases the duration to 12.7 seconds, lowered to 11.32 seconds by Transient Fortitude.
This ability let's you fire Tenora Prime non-stop, and allows Pandero Prime's alternate fire mode to be used multiple times without reloading.

Mods used in order of importance:

{[Vigorous Swap]} This mod increases holster speed by 100%, (twice as fast to swap between weapons) and increases damage by 165% for 3 seconds after swapping weapons.
This makes [Tenora] Primed and [Pandero Prime]'s base and alternate fire mode deal ALOT more damage.

One alternative strategy is to have viral on one weapon, and corrosive on the second weapon, applying viral stacks, and then swapping to corrosive for more damage.
However, having viral on both weapons is more reliable.

{[Primed Flow]} (wait, this is not a tank mod... whoops)
This mod increases maximum warframe energy by 275%, increasing it from 263 to a whopping 744 Maximum Energy.
This combined with Arcane Energize fixes Octavia's energy problems completely!
If you do not have/do not want to use Arcane Energize, swap [Primed Flow] with [Streamline].
(You do not need a maxed out Arcane Energize, even at rank 1 or 2 it is super good)
If you do not have [Primed Flow], use a regular [Flow] or [Streamline] instead, regular [Flow] increases maximum energy to 525, which is still really good.

{Narrow Minded} This mod increases ability duration by 99%, and reduces ability range by -66%.
You are mostly going to use Energized Munitions and Metronome, and usually you are going to use this build on Solo Play on missions like Exterminate, Rescue or Capture, making ability range inconsequential.

{[Primed Continuity]} This mod increases ability duration by 55%.
As said before, [Narrow Minded] + [Primed Continuity] more than double the duration of Energized Munitions and Metronome.
Longer duration means that you have to spend energy to cast abilities less often = more energy!

{Transient Fortitude} This mod increases ability strength by 55%, and reduces ability duration by -27.5%.
Because we have Narrow Minded and Primed Continuity, the -27.5% ability duration reduction barely has an impact, only reducing Energized Munitions by -1.37 seconds (as an example).
And more ability strength empowers Metronome buffs and Amp damage.

{[Umbral Intensify]} This umbral mod increases ability strength by 44%.
Again, more ability strength empowers Metronome buffs and Amp damage.
[Blind Rage] is an excellent replacement.

{[Rolling Guard]} This mod makes you invulnerable for 3 seconds when rolling, and removes all status effects, has a 7 second cooldown that activates after invulnerable period has expired.
Having the ability to remove status effects is SUPER useful, and being invulnerable let's you utilize Energized Munitions better without having to worry about getting killed.

{[Quick Thinking]} This mod drains energy to stop lethal damage with 240% efficiency.
This mod is completely optional, [Adaptation] or other "damage" mods are also a good option, however [Adaptation] is not very effective on a warframe with only 300 health and shield.
Quick Thinking, combined with Primed Flow, can prevent death in many instances.

Exilus Mods:

[Streamlined Form] and [Synth Reflex] both increase Holstering Speed, but both are not recommended simply because we already have a very fast weapon swap speed with [Vigorous Swap].

Power Drift is recommended instead, since 15% ability strength (slightly) empowers Metronome and Amp buffs.

Aura Mods:

Depending on what type of gun you are using, you have a choice between [Rifle Amp], [Shotgun Amp], [Pistol Amp] and [Dead Eye].
[Rifle Amp] is recommended if you are mostly going to be using [Octavia]'s signature weapons [Tenora Prime] and [Pandero Prime].

Speed Holster is not recommended, since (again) we already have very fast weapon swap speed with Vigorous Swap.

Use Corrosive Projection if you do not have/want to use a forma on Octavia's aura slot.

Arcanes

{Arcane Energize} This arcane is still highly recommended, but using 2 "damage" arcanes is also a viable option.

Recommended Damage Arcanes:

{Arcane Acceleration} This arcane has a 30% chance on critical hit to increase primary weapon fire rate by 90% for 9 seconds, this is insane with Energized Munitions.

{Arcane [Rage]} This arcane has a 15% chance on headshot to increase primary weapon damage by 180% for 24 seconds, getting a headshot with Tenora Prime should not be a problem whilst using Energized Munitions and Arcane Acceleration.

As mentioned before, this build is best used in missions like Exterminate, Rescue and Capture.
Fighting bosses on steel path solo with this build is risky, since bosses usually will deal enough damage to 1-shot you, however the damage output is undeniably insane with this build.

Is a tank hybrid with [Vigorous Swap] better than the Glass Cannon build?
Probably... but Glass Cannon is more fun, and more challenging.

But If you want to go for the tank hybrid version, then i recommend that you swap out [Quick Thinking], [Primed Continuity] and Transient Fortitude (or Rolling Guard)
with Adaptation, Umbral Vitality and Umbral Steel Fiber.
