Metronomicon {Chapter 2} Formaless Fun

Hello and welcome to the second chapter of the Metronomicon!

In this chapter we will be looking at a budget (No Forma) Build!


Mods Used in order of importance:

{[Streamline]}: This mod decreases energy costs of all abilities by 30%. (Mallet now costs 25 17) (Resonator now costs 50 35)
(Metronome now costs 75 52) (Amp now costs 100 70)
Using all abilities once will now cost 174 energy instead of 250, that's 76 Energy Saved!

{[Intensify]}: This mod increases ability strength by 30%. More damage is always important!

{[Augur Secrets]} This mod increases ability strength by 24%. Again, more damage is always good!
(Augur set bonus is nice, but it does not matter since you will not take damage in the first place because of Metronome)

{[Continuity]} This mod increases ability duration by 30%.

{[Constitution]} This mod increases ability duration by 28% and 40% faster knockdown recovery!
Faster knockdown recovery is a small, but nice bonus.

{[Augur Message]} This mod increases ability duration by 24%

All 3 Duration mods adds a total of 82%
(Mallet, Resonator and Metronome duration increased by 16.5 seconds, Metronome buff duration increased by 12.4 seconds,
Amp duration increased by 24.8 seconds)
Longer ability duration means that you have to use abilities less often = more energy!

{[Stretch]} This mod increases ability range by 45%

{Augur Reach} This mod increases ability range by 30%

Both range mods combined increases ability range by 75%


{Aura Mods}:

You have a choice between [Energy Siphon] and [Corrosive Projection] (Because of naromon polarity).
Energy Siphon is a much better early to mid game Aura.
However, if your going to do Sortie / Arbitration / Steel Path, then Corrosive Projection is a better choice in most cases.


{Exilus Mods}:

If you have opened the Exilus mod slot, then here are some recommendations (In order of importance):

{[Power Drift]} This mod adds 15% ability strength and 30% Chance to resist knockdown!
As said before, Strength is important!

{Cunning Drift} This mod adds 15% ability range (and +12% "Slide" and -30 "friction")
The Additional Range is a nice bonus!

{[Preparation]} This mod would be above [Cunning Drift], but it is a very expensive mod at max rank, and you can't even use max rank [Preparation], since that consumes 12, and you only have 10 to spare.
But at rank 6, this mod gives you an additional 82% energy at spawn, which can still be very useful!

{[Conductor]} This is one of [Octavia]'s augment mods, the mod allows you to control the resonator, command it to move to a location (and it stays there until new command is given)
It moves at 150% speed when given a command.
The advantage of this is that mallet can now be moved (with resonator)
The disadvantage is that you can't re-cast resonator, so if it gets stuck, you have to wait the entire duration until you can re-cast it again.
While a moveable mallet sounds nice, it is ultimately unnecessary since mallet only costs 25 (17) energy, re-casting mallet is almost always possible.
However, Conductor is still a fun and cool exilus mod.


{Defensive Mods}:

Low Rank Defensive mods, such as Vitality, Redirection or Steel Fiber are not recommended.
This is because of her default health/shield and armor values are low, and slightly increasing these stats by low rank mods will mot make much of a difference.
Not to mention that your Metronome ability makes you invisible to enemies, making defensive abilities close to pointless.

But if you are going to use a defensive mod, swap it with [Augur Reach]

Recommended defensive mods are:

{[Adaptation]} This mod grants damage resistance to damage types received recently. (for example; if you take puncture damage, you gain puncture damage resistance)
Each resistance stack is 5% at rank 0 (10% at rank 12) up to a maximum of 90% damage resistance for 10 seconds (20 seconds at rank 12)
Even at rank 0, this mod adds ALOT of survivability!

{[Rolling Guard]} This mod makes you invulnerable for 3 seconds (2 at rank 0) when rolling, and removes all status effects, has a 7 second cooldown (12 at rank 0) that activates after invulnerable period has expired.
Having the ability to remove status effects is SUPER useful, and being invulnerable let's you get out of deadly situations.


Mallet's damage scaling with enemies, and the fact that you are invisible with Metronome, makes this build viable for Steel Path
