This is my take on the Danse Macabre Revenant build. It allows for a more passive play but with a twist to keep you spinning longer.
Notable difference:
- I've replaced Reave with Protea's Dispensary.
How to use:
- Start your mission by casting Mesmer Skin for protection.
- Then cast Dispensary. Within about 8 seconds, you'll receive an energy orb or two. If Arcane Energize triggers, you'll get a nice bonus amount of energy as well.
- Cast Danse Macabre.
- Note the twist below: Cast Dispensary again and again for more energy. The duration was lowered to allow for greater efficiency and strength, but also to keep Dispensary going for just over 8 seconds to give energy orbs.
THE TWIST:
Since [Revenant]'s Reave can be cast during Danse Macabre, you can also cast Dispensary during Danse Macabre. You don't have to stop spinning and recast. Just cast Dispensary any time you want more energy. This makes it great during Elite [Sanctuary] Onslaught since you can use Dispensary to fill your energy and if Cephalon Simaris puts it on cooldown, you should have enough energy to keep your Danse Macabre going until the cooldown has elapsed.
I have personally run this build in Arbitration, and various Steel Path missions with great success - especially against Infested enemies. I've tried it in the Index, and although it works, I don't recommend it as there are many other more efficient and effective builds for Index.
