[Protea] has a powerful base kit that focuses on spamming abilities and abusing her passive and Temporal Anchor. This build focuses on abusing Grenade Fan for offensive and defensive purposes. We subsume an additional CC ability to keep enemies from being pushed outside of the grenade's range.
Ensnare is chosen because it's the easiest ability to weave into the build. Larva is good but it has more synergy with [Blaze] Artillery than Grenade Fan. Roar could be used to boost the damage of the slash procs but makes the build extremely significantly more expensive which forces you to always cast abilities while under the effects of Temporal Anchor.
[Blaze] Artillery is replaced because it's too expensive on this build and competes with Grenade Fan for APM. You should only run one or the other now that the subsume system allows you to make either ability obsolete.
Strength and Duration are pumped up a bit to get more DPS out of Grenade Fan. Efficiency is at the lowest possible because we get all of our energy back when Temporal Anchor ends. Arcane Energize will give you enough energy afterwards to keep up the combo indefinitely.
[Equilibrium] now synergizes with the boosted health orb from Dispensary to give you over a hundred energy back per orb.
Energy can get very tight on this build if you screw up an Energize proc or health orb/[Equilibrium] conversion. You want to ensure you only grab it after Temporal Anchor ends so ensure your Dispensary is slightly off the beaten path so you don't accidentally run into the orbs. Keep yourself away from enemies while in the anchor as well so you don't accidentally [Vacuum] orbs. If you're having trouble pulling this off you should remove [Vacuum] from your companions.
[Enemy Radar] mods help the entire team to find enemies. The nature of this build sometimes forces us to track down stragglers.
Arcane Aegis combines with the ridiculously long invincibility from Grenade Fan to give you even more survivability when it procs. It can be replaced with any other arcane to suit your playstyle.
