Mecha Archon Citrine - SP Survival Nuke

Abilities

Fractured Blast

[Citrine] first ability is a very important piece of her kit as it will provide infinite energy.
Fractured Blast launch a crystal that bleed ennemies and also mark them with a little crystal above their heads.
At 229% power strength, killing a marked enemy have a guaranteed health orb reward and a 50% chance to drop an energy orb.
Coupled with [Equilibrium], it will be more than enough to sustain the energy consumption of this build, enabling us the use of [Blind Rage] to further boost power strength.

Preserving Shell

[Citrine] deploys a crystalline shell that [Protect] herself and nearby allies.
Damage Reduction is capped at 90% and decrease by 1 every second.
However, each kill and assist increase Damage Reduction respectively by 6% and 3%.
Preserving shell is recastable when active.

Prismatic Gem

Casting her 3rd ability deploys a gem that shoots prismatic beams with infinite punch through.
To spawn a prismatic beam, you'll need to shoot at an enemy. Fractured Blast can also be used to trigger the gem.
One beam damage instance is composed by the following elements:

  • Cold
  • Heat
  • Toxin
  • Electricity

Each damage instance proc the corresponding status effect of the four elements.

Prismatic Gem is a good primer and can do some decent damage as well.
Prismatic Gem also provides a buff increasing status chance and status duration for allies within range, actually delimited by a rainbow.
With this build, the status chance buff is equal to 229% (269% with Madurai buff) and the status duration buff is equal to 155%.

To further boost prismatic beams damage, we'll use [Archon Vitality] to multiply heat procs by 2.

Crystallize

Crystallize is a good ability meant for controlling and damaging enemies.
It has a very long range of 52.5m with this build.
Crystallize will launch fractals that will paralyze all touched enemies for 8 seconds at base duration, and 12.4s with this build.
These fractals will attach crystalline growths on every enemy that are touched by fractals.
By shooting at the growths, your weapon will gain a flat 300% critical chance meaning that you will do red crits with every single weapon in the game.
Worth saying that Crystalize does work on Acolytes and Demolisher units.

Mecha Set

The Mecha set is used to spread status effect of marked enemies in a 30 meters radius.
You need the full set to be equipped to be really effective (2 mods on your Warframe and 2 mods on your companion).
This set synergizes pretty well with her Prismatic Gem which in this case acts as a primer but also as a DPS ability.
With weapons focused on DOT like Heat or Slash, [Citrine] will gain an additional AOE nuke capability that will increase her TTK.
[Mecha Empowered] also affects Prismatic Gem meaning that marked enemies will receive 150% multiplicative extra damage from the prism.
Gameplay is simple; when your companion marks an enemy, Crystallize him then shoot the crystal. It will instant-kill all targets in a 30 meters radius.

[Mecha Pulse] also provides an armor bonus that scales with the number of enemies that are in range when killing a marked enemy.
This bonus is capped at 1200% and last for 20 seconds. With the bonus active at max stack, [Citrine] will gain 3000 additional armor (91% Health DMR).

Archon Shards

Add 3 Crimson Archon Shard to increase [Citrine] power strength to 229% enabling instant 90% damage reduction when casting her 2.
As we won't slot [Natural Talent], use 2 Amber Archon Shard to increase casting speed as she desperately needs it.

Arcanes

Arcane Blessing synergizes well with her first ability and at at max stacked, will add 1200HP to the base health pool for a total of 1605HP (2199HP with [Archon Vitality]).
There are multiple choices for the second slot.
As [Citrine] is a support Warframe, my default choice is Molt Reconstruct which healing will be additive to Citrine's passive (capped at 25 HP/s) and will also heal your teammates when casting an ability.
Molt Reconstruct also heals your companion and will definitely help to keep it alive in order to trigger the Mecha set every 15 seconds.

Weapons

To maximize the DPS of this build, use weapons modded for Heat.
For further explanations you can look at "Maximising Prismatic Gem damage with Roar and Heat Inherit" section.

[Archon Vitality] vs [Adaptation]

Both are good options. Despite having a better health pool with the use of [Archon Vitality], [Adaptation] will provide more EHP.
The first is more an offensive choice so if you want more tankiness, replace [Archon Vitality] by [Adaptation].

Focus School

Best options are Madurai and Vazarin.

Madurai is a great choice mainly for its Power transfer node which will increase our casting speed by 50%.
This will stack with our 2 Amber Archon Shards for a total of 100%. It will help her 4th ability to be more fluid as the base casting animation is very slow.

If you want more safety, use Vazarin instead.
It will be also helpful to easily revive your Companion when bleeding out.

Maximising Prismatic Gem damage with Roar and Heat Inherit

Calculating Heat Base Damage

To increase Prismatic Gem damage, we need to boost our strength even more by replacing Arcane Blessing by Molt Augmented.
Paired with the Madurai bonus, power strength is at 329% for 3290 base heat damage coming from the prism.
Then Replace [Citrine] fourth ability by Roar to gain a universal Faction bonus of 99%.
Equip your [Kuva Nukor] as a primer and build it for Heat Inherit and Viral. Prismatic Gem DoT will inherit the Faction mod and the modded heat damage from the [Nukor].

The extra damage from the mecha set is multiplicative and is also applied to Prismatic Gem.

On top of this, [Archon Vitality] will multiply heat damage by 2.

As each buff are applied multiplicatively, the formula is as the following:
Prismatic Gem damage x Roar x Mecha Set Bonus x 1 + [Archon Vitality] bonus

DMG = 3290 x 1.99 x 2.5 x 2 = 32 735

Before damage reduction, a single damage instance of Prismatic Gem inflicts 32 735 heat damage on a marked enemy which is primed by the [Nukor].
To ease Dot calculation, we don't include Viral debuff at max stack.

Calculating Heat DoT

To compute the heat DoT of an instance of Prismatic Gem, we take the base heat damage that inflicts the Ignite status effect then divide it by 2.
Roar and the Mecha Set bonus are very powerful because they are applied a second time on the DoT as well, effectively double dipping.
We also apply the Faction Mod and modded Heat Damage which are inherited from the [Nukor].
To conclude we apply the Viral debuff at max stack.

DoT = Base Damage x 0.5 x (Faction Mod + Roar) x Modded Heat damage x Mecha Set Bonus x Viral Debuff
DoT = 32 735 x 0.5 x 2.54 x 3.25 x 2.5 x 4.25 = 1 435 583

To have a better representation on how it could perform in a real mission, we can calculate DoT after applying Damage Reduction.
Given a level 185 Corrupted Heavy Gunner with 10 205 Armor affected by a single heat proc that reduces the amount of Armor by 2:

ARMOR = 10205 / 2
DMR = ARMOR / (ARMOR + 300) = 94.4%

DoT with DMR = 1 435 583 x (1 - 94.4%) = 80 393

When a Status Effect is transferred through the set bonus, its damage and duration are each roughly doubled, further multiplying its effectiveness.
