Is This Build For You
This build is focused around abusing game mechanics and maxing out frosts cc. This build plays quite oddly compared to the standard [Frost] and isn't mainly focused on point defense, if you want a strong snow globe build this isn't for you
Gameplay
This builds gameplay can vary drastically depending on the situation and how you want to play it
- In defense style gamemodes you usually want to keep using Snow Globe(3) when it's invulnerability drops to keep it defending the target, use Ice Wave(2) to slow enemies to a crawl, and spam Snow Globe on enemies when it's safe to kill them. (This build isn't recommended for defense, but it does work fine for interception)
- For survival find a narrow room to hold and either solo or with a Nidus and/or Speed Nova funnel enemies to a position and slam them into a wall repeatedly with Snow Globe(3) to sustain life support
- Whenever your shield drops either cast Snow Globe(3) to refresh a shield gate and push enemies away, or roll to gain temporary invulnerability and purge all status effects from you
How it Works
Snow Globe(3) similarly to Sonic Boom([Banshee] 1) has an innate mechanic where enemies ragdolled by the ability suffer 50% of their current health as true damage if they come into contact with a wall due to the ability. While typically this will result in you needing to hit an enemy 4 times with the ability to kill them, however when combined with Viral debuffs the casts required can be cut down to 1. This means that the best weapons for abusing this ability are weapons that can rapidly spread Viral through a group, for example the Ignis Wraith or the Kuva Nukor
Mod Alternatives
- Enemy Radar can be swapped to any Aura
- Ice Wave Impedance can be any mod, if you do decide to swap it off you might also want to take out Primed Continuity as well
- Rolling Guard can be swapped out
- Suggested mod alternatives are the Umbral set for stronger globes and better non shieldgate survivability, Health Conversion for stronger globes and Primed Flow for a better energy pool
Arcane Alternatives
- Arcane Ultimatum, Arcane Guardian and Arcane Tanker can make your globes stronger and buff up survivability if you decide to go for more health
- Damage arcanes like Arcane [Rage] that don't require you to take damage can be nice, but aren't necessary if you're going to kill enemies with globe spam
