Pack Leader Voruna (w/alt mods, companion, shard and subsume list)

A little bit of a controversial build, this mod set ensures survivability, dps and a little bit of support!

Alternative mods and companion suggestions at the end.

First, we start off with how to play this build!

You will want to proc the passive from Fangs of Raksh and keep this up - This will give you innate Status Effect immunity
Tap your 3 (Lycath's [Hunt]) and always keep this as active as possible.
Tap your 2 (Fangs of Raksh) to close the gap between you and your chosen enemy.
With a heavy status weapon, mess up their day - You can also Tap 4, Ulfrun's Decent, to put out some damage that way.

Tap 1 whenever you would like. It adds a buff to your melee attacks, adding crit damage and status chance which goes longer the more you cancel enemies' subscription to life AND it increases your speed.

Once you get that muscle memory going, you should be good to go!

On to mods!:

Combat Discipline - An aura with 2 uses here. You passively heal others, and you open your health up to pick up health orbs and energy gain. This will allow you to stack armor with Health Conversion and regain a little energy at the same time with Rage.

Cunning Drift - Increase your range a bit to counter Narrow Minded's negative effect.

Adaptation - Drastically increase your Damage Type resistance. This coupled with Raksh's passive will ensure the maximum resistance possible. (Damage type and Status Effects are 2 different fruits when you are hit with a damage type, there will be a chance to proc status. It is what leads ultimately to status effects)

Vitality - We are using regular [Vitality] rather than [Umbral Vitality]. All this serves as is extra cushion for error margins and 100 extra health for 4 extra mod points on a polarity not everyone has a forma for is a bit of a waste when you only get the benefit when coupled with Umbral Intensify.

Primed Continuity - To maximize the duration of your first and 3rd abilities.

Health Conversion - Oh look! More cushion?? 1,540 armor!? 7,208 EFFECTIVE HITPOINTS!?!?!?!?!?

Narrow Minded - To maximize the duration of your first and 3rd abilities.

Intensify - We are using regular [Intensify] rather than Umbral. Let's face it. that extra measly 14% strength is not worth the 5 extra mod points that [Umbral Intensify] costs when Umbra Formas are so hard to come by. Having both Warframe Umbra mods only causes you to put more effort in than necessary into your warframe's forma for only a tiny bit of squeeze. A single drop in a cup of Orange juice does not make the cup any more worth it.

Stretch - Increase your range a bit to counter Narrow Minded's negative effect.

Rage - Adds some energy upkeep when you're damaging yourself on every kill!

Arcanes:

To maximize survivability and overall damage potential, both arcanes have a chance to proc on damage to Voruna.

Arcane Guardian - When maxed has a chance to add 900 armor for 20 seconds. That brings your self buff armor maximum to 2,440 with an effective hit point pool of 10,538 for that 20 seconds... and that has a 90% chance on every kill you do with combat discipline.

Arcane Avenger - When maxed, this boosts your critical chance for 12 seconds. With critical chance comes red crits and with red crits comes death.

Weapon suggestions:

High Crit Primary

High Status chance and proc Secondary

Crit + Stat Melee

This allows you to control status effects vs damage before you close the gap with Raksh where it's needed.

Beast Companions (Left to right most useful):

Potential Kubrows - Chesa (To bring energy/health among other things), Raksa (To increase survivability chance), Sahasa (To dig up energy or health whichever you need first)

Potential Kavat - Adarza (Reflects damage and guaranteed crit chance when activated) Smeeta (The luck and decoy are good too, though the critical chance/damage is random on activation)

Potential Predasite - Pharaoh (Innate Viral damage and Toxin buff to allies when activated), Vizier (Innate Corrosive damage and healing on activation)

Potential Vulpaphyla - Panzer (5+ Status effects + Lycath's Hunt = More health orbs = Longer Armor buffs)

Personal recommendation for Companion - Pharaoh, Panzer, Adarza or Chesa

I do not recommend any robotic companions as they do not buff your status/crit output or help much with your survivability.

Alternative Mods:
Keep in mind that if you switch these out, you may need to increase forma instances. More forma may mean more power, however it also means more burnout and less time doing other things you may want to do.

[Steel Charge] > [Combat Discipline]

[Umbral Vitality] > [Vitality]

[Umbral Intensify] > [Intensify]

[Transient Fortitude] > [Intensify]

[Equilibrium] > [Rage]

Subsumed Abilities

I do not recommend replacing any of her abilities, however if you do, replace Ulfrun's Descent with one of the following

[Mirage]'s Eclipse
[Rhino]'s Roar
[Valkyr]'s Warcry
[Wukong]'s Defy

I do not recommend Gloom, as all the benefit will be is enemy slow because you are already dropping a lot of health orbs.

Archon Shards:

1 Amber - Energy
4 Crimson - 2 Melee 2 Duration

OR

1 Amber - Energy
2 Crimson - Duration
2 Azure - Armor

Please feel free to leave feedback and to switch things around as you will! Everyone's playstyle, game experience and personal preferences are different!

Thank you and enjoy! :D
