Place down your Strangledome (4) and your Spectrorage (Subsume) inside the middle of the dome. Kill enemies who are grabbed by your [Pilfering Strangledome] for more loot and are charmed by your [Spectrosiphon] for energy drops. Enjoy the infinite amount of energy.
At the start of a mission, first place down your [Spectrosiphon] around a group of enemies and kill them to get a kickstart to your energy pool.
Enemies outside your Spectrorage can also drop energy orbs, as long as they are "charmed" by the carousel of mirrors. So they don't have to be inside the carousel.
Enemies grabbed by your Strangledome, can still be charmed by Spectrorage. Carousel size scales with Ability Range (equally as big as Strangledome). [Charm] radius also scales with Ability Range, for even further [Reach] beyond the carousel!
Sadly, Strangledome's grab radius is 25% bigger than Spectrorage's charm radius (it cannot be efficiently used to lure enemies outside Strangledome's grab range).
BUILD-WISE CON: due to the mods used in this build, energy sustain can be tough. Mod it your own way!
Why Spectrorage over Dispenser?
PROS
- Spectrorage doesn't scale with power strength (unlike Dispenser for the double drops).
- Spectrorage drops tons more energy orbs (if you are killing enemies constantly) than Dispenser (which drops an energy orb every ~9 seconds).
- Save Ability Duration and 1 mod slot by equipping (Primed) [Flow], instead of [Streamline] and [Fleeting Expertise]. The amount of energy orbs [Spectrosiphon] drops, makes up for the removed Ability Efficiency.
- Dispenser either replaces the entire Ensnare or [Venari]. Spectrorage acts similarly to Ensnare, hence it can replace that ability and keep [Venari]. Spectrorage charms enemies (outside) the carousel and "lures" them inside the carousel, ignoring attacking the players (for survivability) and grouping them up, like Ensare does.
- Visually, it looks cooler.
CONS
- No constant supply of health orbs and ammo drops from Dispenser.
- If it takes too long to kill enemies, [Spectrosiphon] cannot sustain your energy pool sufficiently. Dispenser is a safer option for a constant supply of energy orbs.
- Spectrorage can be destroyed, if too many mirrors are shattered, requiring a recast.
