This Sentient war instrument can either barrage targets with explosive bolts, or, draw on its regenerative battery to create twin plasma beams that chain through targets. When fully drained, Health is leached from nearby foes for a short period.

WHY NO [Primed Shred]???
Having a too high fire rate seems to risk depleting the ammo accidentally. So...
PLAYSTYLE NOTES
Don't be like the pilots of Gipsy Danger in Pacific Rim (there's only one right?) and empty the clip. Then when they needed a gun the most, all they had was a measly floppy sword so at that point you might as well melee.
Treat the weapon like a burst fire weapon and control your bursts. The reload is otherwise as long as the development of the second movie.
Pacific Rim 2 definitely does not exist. Yup.
