The steel flag of Old War Railjack crews, the Pennant was invaluable in repelling boarders. With each heavy attack kill the Pennant's speed of attack increases.

The Pennant is the best Melee for beginners! It's also the second-best melee pre-MR10 melee -by a slight margin- (the first being a Gilded Sepfahn Peye Vargeet II Jai Zaw, which might as well be beyond MR10 considering how hard/complex it is to make)! And it is still top tier beyond that (which is much more than enough for most endgame scenarios)!
Certain mods given can be replaced with an upgraded version later on:
Pressure Point➜^^Primed Pressure Point(I recommend skipping this step, as it cost too much -to buy as well as rank up- for something that's not a final mod)➜^^^[Sacrificial Pressure]

Smite _➜^^Primed Smite _
^[Amalgam Organ Shatter] is acquired by accumulating at least 50 points during the recurring Thermia Fractures event on Orb Vallis (open world), Venus. It might be worth watching a guide.
^^Primed mods can be bought from Baro Ki'teer for ducats (earned by selling Prime parts).
^^^Both Sacrificial mods are earned near the end of the main quest "The [Sacrifice]", which is quite far down the line on the list of story quests, so it's safe to say it won't be acquired any time soon (Untradeable).
Obtaining the [Pennant]'s blueprint is a slightly complex process. This is because it is dropped in Railjack missions, which are not accessible early game. On a good note though, Railjack missions are accessible through invites. Furthermore, the blueprint is tradeable and many veteran players sell it extremely cheap or sometimes give it away for free!
Gladiator Might has a chance to be earned in stages 2-4 (noticeably higher chance in stage 4) of rotation B Tier 3 Cetus bounties.
[Corrupt Charge] has a chance to be earned by unlocking Orokin vaults on Deimos with Dragon Keys (blueprints for which can be bought in the dojo). It would be better to see a guide on this, as it's quite a complex procedure. Orokin Vault farms are also a great early source of platinum!
The rest can be earned normally by killing certain types of enemies, which can be found here.
