Soloing Thermia Fractures

How To Solo Thermia Fractures

This guide comes out of my frustrations with how DE implemented Thermia Fractures (seriously, the Ghouls get bounties, why not fractures?), and my desire for that sexy [Opticor Vandal].

CREDITS

This build has 3 sources.

[Redeemer]'s "How to AFK Thermia Fractures SOLO!" video, linked at the end of the guide, answers the question, "Why [Revenant]?"

The build shares its forma layout with sig's excellent [Endgame] Umbral Revenant (that actually doesn't suck) build... and then sorta combines landaros's humorously written Revenant invincible bastard kind of in dept guide to make it easier to solo Thermia Fractures.

NOTE: You may want to swap Fleeting Expertise for either Streamline or Augur Secrets to balance Efficiency/Duration/Strength for your personal tastes. This is just what worked for me.

GAMEPLAY TIPS:

  • Activate Mesmer Skin!!! When exiting archwing, when hit with a nullifier bubble, or when you just have nothing else to spend energy on... keep those defenses up!

  • Enthrall all the things!!! I use a mouse button macro that makes it easier to spam my first ability. The thralls do the heavy lifting of defending the fissure.

  • The MOST dangerous time is right after placing your first cannister in the fissure!!! When you are focused on picking up the remaining cannister's and putting them in the fissure before time runs out, it becomes very easy to get bum-rushed by that initial wave of enemies. Most lost fissures happened in the first minute for me. Take your time before you put the first cannister in, make sure you know where all the others are... maybe retrieve that one that managed to roll to the bottom of the hill.

  • Once things calm down a bit around the fissure, be sure to move far enough away so you aren't hit by the nullifier bubbles it likes to spit out occasionally.

Enjoy your spiffy new [Opticor Vandal]!
