Hello. This is a light melee modding guide for endurance runs and steel path. You don't need these type of builds in level 1-90, it is just for endurance runs and steel path.
The build that is shown here is an example of a non-elemental light melee build.
With the nerf of Condition Overload, Blood Rush, and Berserker Fury:
NOTE:
You don't need a Riven Mod to make your melee good, Riven Mods are just for min-maxing.
Riven Mod stats you should go for are: Critical damage, attack speed, range, damage, damage to faction (depends on what faction you're going up against).
For most melees, you would want a riven like this: +Critical damage, +attack speed, +range, and a harmless negative because negatives increase your stats.
Remember that status effects and their damage type are two different things.
An example is; Slash, a damage type that is not great against Ferrite Armor and Alloy Armor. But its status effect is great against armor because it ignores armor.
And one thing to note is that: Viral is good because of its status effect and not its damage type.
Damage to Faction mods are great because it double dips on damage overtime status effects (Gas, Slash, Toxin, Heat, and Electricity), and it is a 2.4025 damage multiplier to a certain faction.
Do not put [Primed Pressure Point] with [Condition Overload] because it is redundant and will give you diminishing returns which means; too much of one thing will give you no significant increase.
Now, how do you mod for a light melee build?
The two other mod slots can be anything you would like on a melee.
But, if you are building for viral, you can put as much viral as you want. Just don't make it higher than slash, and remember to use [Primed Pressure Point] because you aren't using a primer.
An example is a build like this: click me
You can see the slash is 222.6, you can put as much viral as you want, just make sure that your viral is LOWER than slash because it makes it so that slash has a higher proc priority.
If you're building for other elements, make sure the element has a higher proc priority.
And that is pretty much it, I will update this if I wasn't clear enough or I forgot to mention some things.
I also recommend to check out Warframe YouTubers such as; KnightmareFrame, Aznvasions, and TheKengineer.
Thank you for reading my melee guide.
