The Tombraider | Petrify Nekros | Double Loot Drops

INTRODUCTION

Turn [Nekros] into Nekrocks, the greatest solo loot generator using [Atlas]'s Petrify subsume to gather even more loot. Petrify with the [Ore Gaze] augment at 298% power strength provides a 75% chance to drop loot on death while Desecrate rolls a 54% chance to drop loot from the corpse on a second instance.

Note this build uses Shield Gate abuse for survival and requires a very active high kill rate playstyle with spamming of petrify.

BUILD SPECIFICS

Duration
Duration is not necessary as Petrify has a long base duration and 72.5% duration gives a 14.5s Petrify duration which is more than enough time. You will not be using any other aiblities that rely on duration.

Efficiency
You can drop efficiency as Desecrate/[Ore Gaze] should provide tons of energy and health orbs, health orbs become energy from [Equilibrium] and arcane energize further increases energy gain. This should allow to spam Petrify constantly. You will need to maintain a high kill count in order to regain health lost via [Despoil] by picking up energy and health orbs. If this seems to straining due to health loss, you could add [Streamline].

Range
Range is essential in boosting petrify distance (to 20m) but does not really change the angle, and also gives a comfortable desecrate radius of 36m.

Strength
Purely to increase loot drop chance from Ore Gaze. Approx 300% str scales to 75% drop chance. You can increase this further with growing power, power drift/augur secrets/umbral intensify/precision intensift to potentially hit close to 400% which gives 100% drop chance but this requires too much mod strain at the cost of other benefits.

Now with new arcanes and focus changes, you can [Reach] 100% free strength (Molt Augmented 60% + Madurai Sling 40%). This means you can drop [Blind Rage] for [Augur Reach] or [Streamline] so you can spam more petrifies or have further range to petrify.

Flexible Slots
[Rolling Guard] is an option over [Umbral Intensify] to help with survivability.
Primed flow is optional if you feel energy management is fine.

Both aura and exilus are flexible to your preference:

  • [Brief Respite] is great for shield gating. Since you will be spamming Petrify, you should be filling your shields to max every couple of seconds.
  • Growing power for even more loot chance
  • Steel charge if you need more mod capacity

  • Primed sure footed/handspring to prevent/reduce knockdown

  • Vigilante pursuit for enemy radar, important to see where enemy density is to cast petrify most effectively

Arcanes

  • Energize is essential for energy upkeep from spamming petrify
  • Aegis for backup shield gating/survivability
  • Pulse for more health regen/squad healing
  • Eruption is another good crowd control option but appears to interfere with petrification

PLAYSTYLE

Make sure a Decaying Dragon Key is equipped to drop your max shields for easier shield gating.
Bonus: Use a [Nidus] specter to get a 1.28 multiplicative ability strength boost, meaning you can hit near or exactly 400% for 100% drop chance from petrify.

  1. Activate 3 Desecrate, which will use your health pool to cast due to [Despoil]. Starting killing enemies to generate energy orbs
  2. Spam 1 Petrify into groups of enemies and then kill them with your weapons (try to optimise your petrify casts into high enemy densities, noting the shape of petrify is a CONE)
  3. Gather the loot and energy/health orbs to replenish energy and health to max due to [Equilibrium]
  4. Manage survival by good positioning and petrify spam to restore shields for shield gating

Use Ripkas as melee with amalgam mod for 100% gore chance, so any non-petrified enemies you happen to kill are divided into two corpses.
