My endgame [Nidus].

FAQ with mates and people who asked my build:

1.) Why [Handspring]?

A: Faster knockback recovery.

2.) Why not [Primed Sure Footed]?

A: Takes up too much mod capacity and is not needed. When you're doing infested missions, Ancients who grab you drains your energy. With [Primed Sure Footed], you won't get knocked down but your energy will be 0. Whereas with [Handspring], the pull is so short, therefore negligible energy drain.

3.) What about [Blind Rage]?

A: The 20+ heal difference of his 4th ability is negligible since you will be relying on Grace if you have it or Kubrow to heal you from 10% to 100% in a blink of an eye. Or a Vulpaphyla.

4.) But you have [Rage] so what's the point?

A: Less pull = more time for recovery regardless of drain. You pause with [Primed Sure Footed]. + it drains more mod capacity. [Nidus] needs survivability mods (hp and armor as much as he can)

5.) Why not max range?

A: With just 2 range mods, you can easily pull the mobs in the room; a handful of them. So putting max range would make you lose defensive mods.

6.) I don't have those arcanes. Any substitute?

A: Put any arcane that you want. These arcanes aren't necessary. I did a 4-hour survival before without those arcanes and only started dying at the 2nd hour (mutation death stacks only not revives). Use a Kubrow or Vulpaphyla to heal you consistently. Make sure for Kubrows, the element you use should be Gas. Build your pet for Status chance. My kubrow has 90% status chance with slash + gas. 1 attack procs slash or gas. And per tick of the proc heals you more than arcane grace. Can heal from 10% hp to 100% in a blink of an eye.

7.) But this build looks like it's meant for melee main?

A: Yes it is. Since on survival missions, esp endurance or long runs, you will be staying put in one area where they group at you. Just summon larva, use fist skill to stack, use 3rd skill for defensive, use 4th for extra DPS healing and those small larva will disorient enemies a bit for little breathing room. Also, you need a melee damage to heal your pet.

8.) Why not just use a status-based weapon like [Kronen] and use [Healing Return]?

A: You can do that too if you don't like the pet companions. But do remember that sentinels do not revive. Yes kubrow doesn't, but I did the 4-hour survival before heart of deimos update which means no vulpaphyla at the time. I revived the pet but of course latching my 3rd on a high level enemy so I won't die reviving. You can use [Djinn] to always resurrect. Yes, but its only purpose is to loot. Whereas Vulpa can spread viral procs, heal you, and loot. And also, when you've done killing the stack of enemies grabbed by larva, you need to cast it again, and that small amount of time will kill you when you're on level 600+ already. Sure, you have mutation but for me, it's a bother to keep on stacking. It's a matter of preference whether to rely on [Healing Return] or pet. :)

This build aims to help you survive for many hours on survival grinding steel essences. The key is to know what companion to bring. Make sure to have a status link mod on your primary and Kubrow. I use [Ogris] on this build since it has very good status chance. I don't use the Ogris for Condition Overload stacking, but just for kubrow status chance link. Put 60/60 mods on your ogris for that 100%+ giving your kubrow a 90% status chance. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, you can message in-game.
