[Oberon] has a fairly balanced kit that provides survivability, armor stripping, crowd control, and a few offensive options. We utilize a subsumed CC ability to help wrangle large groups of confused enemies.
Ensnare is chosen because it's the easiest ability to use in general content. Larva is another good choice as it's quicker but has less range. Fire Blast and Shuriken can also be run on this build if you want to nuke enemies with Reckoning and/or want to deal with enemies in the Steel Path.
Smite or Reckoning should be replaced depending on whether you want to abuse armor stripping or the [Smite Infusion] augment.
Range is high enough to have a 360° Hallowed Ground but you can replace either [Stretch] or [Overextended] for more survivability on smaller tilesets. [Vitality] and [Adaptation] work against most enemies while [Rolling Guard] should be used in Endurance.
Strength is high enough (with [Growing Power]) to strip enemy armor in two Reckoning casts. Reckoning is unique in that it strips base armor rather than current enemy armor. Although you only need two casts in regular content, Steel Path enemies have their base armor buffed after the mission starts and as such would need many more casts. Replace Reckoning with another subsumed ability in those scenarios.
[Streamline] can be replaced with [Fleeting Expertise] but it lowers your [Hallowed Eruption] damage.
[Hallowed Eruption] lets you deal with lower level enemies quickly and easily. It can be replaced with other augments but Hallowed Ground loses a significant amount of Duration.
Crowd Control is strong enough on this build that you shouldn't need to triple down on survivability. Usually a single mod along with Renewal is plenty to keep you alive in the type of content that this build is strongest against.
Arcane [Guardian] provides a large boost in survivability. It can be replaced with any other arcane to suit your playstyle.
