Styanax’s speargun matches his might. Throw Afentis to pin an enemy and nearby enemies will also be stunned. Throw Afentis onto the ground to buff nearby allies with Ballistarii Might. The buff increases reload speed, fire rate, and ammo pools and reduces recoil. Allies who kill enemies with Ballistarii Might maintain the buff temporarily when they move away from Afentis.

Fun With Explosives - Afentis

PAIN the page reset and deleted the whole guide-

So as a fairly new mod builder, I wanted to try an [Afentis] build out. If there's any frame or weapon with few builds you want to point me to, then feel free to leave that in the comments.

To preface; Styanax with a high strength Tharros Strike and the Kompressa make for good partners, stripping enemy defenses for higher damage. Galvanized Scope over [Vigilante Armaments] is a pretty solid increase to damage, but I'm bad. For those of you who aren't, though, you should definitely run that. To note, a primed bane mod will always be a great increase to your overall damage when run over [Serration], but that's staying for now just as a demo.

Styanax is the ideal user of this weapon, due to his passive granting 1% crit chance per 40 points of shield/overshield, and doubling for spearguns. This pushes the [Afentis] into the intended territory, and makes the most out of [Styanax]'s passive. As stated above, at high enough strength Tharros Strike is a 100% armor remover, and the Kompressa's innate viral can strip so much away from enemies that the one-two of a few bubbles and a mach one steel rod is enough to cause any Grineer to experience a little-known condition called "exploding violently." And while that does have a high mortality rate, the thrown attack of [Afentis] doesn't make use of Multishot, so keep in mind you're better off mashing primary fire until you want to pin someone to a wall for 20 seconds to be able to laugh for 20 seconds as they defy physics and [Stretch] well beyond what should be humanly possible, before getting up and shooting you like they didn't just become a worm.

Jokes aside, missing or throwing the spear at your feet will create a temporary bubble, granting a buff called Ballistarii Might on kill for 40 seconds. This is a 50% reload speed, 20% fire rate, 100% ammo reserve, and 50% recoil buff to anyone with it, drastically improving performance and being a great supportive tool, almost like a fifth ability. Any throw will also reload the [Afentis], so chucking this when in doubt can be a good choice, or at least grant an enemy mild internal bleeding and potential new art on a wall.

I'd been thinking that a Riven granting crit damage/chance is pretty much always good here, as long as the curse doesn't destroy stats that you care about. Zoom is always an acceptable curse spot, as it doesn't always have a negative impact on most primaries outside of snipers, which isn't even always 100% true. Status chance curses aren't perfect, but don't kill the viability of the riven in this case since we weren't aiming to freeze every enemy in place with max cold stacks, we were aiming to go face. Bonus points for it being a duration curse instead, as that is actually far more favorable. An ideal third buff is probably fire rate, but others are still good. Fire Rate just means at a high enough boost, we can remove [Vile Acceleration] to [Recover] the damage lost and still boost dps. Running multiple fire rate boosts always kneecaps a build, as that's just diminishing returns in a nutshell. I'm not super well-versed in that are though, so that part can be your fun little theory-craft.

I think unless I've forgotten anything I'd mentioned before the page cleared, that wraps up discussion on the [Afentis]. Have fun playing the most unfair and deadly game of catch using the [Afentis] with a very unfortunate Corpus Tech!
