yep this is legitimately all you need, if you dont use thermal sunder you only need to mod for duration. the last three mod slots are flex slots, though i suggest you use all three gladiator mods, this will get any melee weapon that has a base of 31% crit chance or higher over 300% crit chance, if you have [Gladiator Might] and [Blood Rush] on it that is. the point of this build is to be constantly on the move, running in and out of silence range with mach [Rush]. I highly recommend using an [Epitaph], because the guaranteed cold procs increase the stun duration of silence, but if you arent using an [Epitaph] primer in this day and age, what are you even doing.
you honestly dont need any shards, he does well enough as is. but if you have some spare, i would recommend five crimson shards for even more duration. pre nerf topaz shards were very good, especially on [Gauss] since thermal sunder could pretty much always apply blast procs. they used to act like augur mods or [Brief Respite], they would always give you shields no matter what state your shield was in, now they act like lethal progeny, you have to have some amount of shields for them to actually give you shields. the justification for this nerf, was that it would lead to instances where you could be completely invulnerable, completely ignoring the fact that you need to double cast a 50 energy ability that deals no damage outside of star chart, or that [Revenant] exists.
