Umbral Mecha Coaction Drift Lavos

I've seen several builds for [Lavos] that make use of the Archon mods. While the heat procs could be very nice, the rest don't seem to be much better for me. I actually brewed this build in a few stages as I learned new combinations.

The first part of my thought process was Umbral mods. With how much armor [Lavos] has innately, [Umbral Fiber] is actually worth using. And while [Lavos] benefits more from stacks of elements for his best damage ability, [Umbral Intensify] brings him back to positive strength after the drop from [Overextended]. And also buffs the other two Umbral mods, improving his tankiness. Add in [Adaptation] for some extra damage reduction and [Swift Bite] to make his Ophidian [Bite] have more range and also a chance to cycle his abilities faster while healing you and it fits pretty well together.

Once I got past that part, I was made aware of the Mecha set. That ended up with me figuring out that you can buff the damage bonus to the [Marked Target] with [Coaction Drift] and also buff other players' auras. And while the armor bonus of the other piece is a bit overkill with the rest of this build giving so much health and armor, that's a fun bonus to go with spreading the statuses on a frame that loves applying statuses.

For the considerations of stats I didn't focus on or other things of note:

Archon mods would be nice if it wasn't for the ability to add extra elements as well as damage to his abilities. [Archon Continuity] can have the corrosive added to Ophidian [Bite]. You can also do it yourself on that or any other abilities as well as adding any other element as needed. [Archon Intensify] isn't as strong as [Umbral Intensify] with all 3 mods being used even though it's a really good option if you don't plan to use all Umbral mods. [Archon Vitality] would be very nice for the heat procs, but I don't see it being worth giving up 80% health and the buffs to the other Umbral mods since I'm using them. The other two mods only give bonuses that deal with energy which doesn't matter.

Primed Sure Footed - [Lavos] has innate status immunity as long as you pick up energy or universal orbs that Transmutation Probe can turn health orbs into. You can be knocked down when the buff isn't up, but with it lasting 10 seconds per orb picked up, I don't feel it's worth a mod slot. Also I run Synth Deconstruct on my pet so more chance of health orbs for me to turn into universal orbs as well.

Duration - Duration only affects the puddles from Vial [Rush] and status duration. If I'm priming enemies, I will either be using the [Cedo] that will give several statuses very quickly with the alt fire, or a status primer secondary that has [Augur Seeker] to give 90% longer status duration already. And if we're looking at the spread statuses from the Mecha set, those are considered to come from the pet who also has [Mecha Overdrive] increasing the duration by 90%. And after those statuses spread, I have [Contagious Bond] that will trigger if those statuses kill any of the enemies and will keep proccing as long as the spread statuses keep killing.

Archon Shards - My plan for the build is to have a single tauforged emerald shard to give +3 stacks of corrosive. This will strip armor to 98% with full stacks and still give the elemental bonus against that armor type. I haven't decided if I'm going to put any into casting speed as I find the play to be active enough with building the elements for the next cast, but the rest will go into ability strength to buff damage and increase the healing of Ophidian Bite as it is currently around 400 per target hit with elemental infusion.

Arcanes - There are a lot of options for arcanes that will boost the damage of [Lavos]. The scaling of Catalyze is already pretty strong, especially with the [Cedo] and a primer secondary and using his other abilities to add even more statuses. I personally prefer to enjoy the nuances of this build and let the arcanes give even more survivability.

I hope you enjoy this build and find the joy in [Lavos] that I found after realizing how much his entire kit works together. And that you enjoy the insanity that happens when the Mecha set goes off with [Contagious Bond]
