The [Pathocyst] has a surprising amount of build space, given that it has higher slash damage than puncture and impact as well as innate viral damage. This opens up mod slots for other ways to scale damage, as well as some desperately-needed attack speed. Not necessarily the most meta build or weapon, but it's one I enjoy, and I have fun watching the combo counter go up on its own in missions. Don't bother trying to use this in stealth missions though, the maggots put enemies on alert all the time. (Note: [Weeping Wounds] works in place of [Relentless Combination] in terms of bumping status output, but at the cost of reduced combo counter escalation.)
