External Pre-reqs
Combo with a melee with 3x gladiator mods to gain gladiator stacking on [Talons]. [Praedos] incarnon is also a good option for parkour velocity and sprint speed.

Primary/Secondary
Managing another weapon can be more annoying than it is worth for most missions outside arbitrations. Holding F to swap to melee weapon only should keep you from exiting hysteria accidentally, but it can be easier to just go without for most missions.
A secondary weapon with [Amalgam Barrel Diffusion] can massively improve movement speed. [Augur Pact] can offer a small bit of protection between casting hysteria and becoming invincible as well. The main downside to this, is that having a secondary will change affinity distribution, making it more difficult to trigger blight, though you could grab one of the other various Entropy/Blight weapons. [Synth Deconstruct] on a sentinel should also keep your gun reloaded for you if you use it sparingly.
[Hysterical Assault] will give you a half a second window during when swapping weapons where invincibility wont drop, even with aim glide. Since stored hysteria damage is cleared when swapping out of hysteria, this lets you clear that damage risk while maintaining invincibility as long as you melee again to get back in.
Primary or secondary dexterity can easily max its damage while you kill enemies in hysteria, as well as provide combo duration.
[Kunai] is a decent option. It has an incarnon adapter, blight mod, and gains 100% multishot while you have hysteria active. See ([Kunai] build)https://overframe.gg/build/649779/. If you find yourself with plenty of energy, you could always use other weapons without blight/entropy.
Naramon
Power spike recommended to maintain combo counter.
Opening slam to more easily stack to full combo.
Affinity spike to make [Rakta Dark Dagger] easier to proc.
Archon Shards
Violet archon shards for melee crit damage will provide a substantial damage boost when combined with [Primed Flow]. The first (Tauforged) being the most impactful at around a 37% boost. A second providing another 27%, a third providing 21%.
Mods
Aura
Good for increasing starting energy as you get a lot of mod capacity. Helps DPS by about 14%.
Against grineer, simply more damage. Nearer to 20% DPS increase.
Combo with a sentinel running [Synth Deconstruct] to give more energy. Allows higher energy usage to abuse sentinel [Duplex Bond] as well.
50m teleports are just fun. It also provides a short extension to invincibility when swapping from hysteria to another weapon, which can help prevent damage when aim gliding if not running pure melee. Could be swapped with Preperation for starting energy, [Power Drift] for dps, or various parkour mods.
Assumed that you will have some other source of base health boost elsewhere, but this could be [Gladiator Resolve] instead. Any gladiator mod is going to give 110% crit chance bonus to [Talons] at 12x combo count. Which if this is considered the 4th gladiator mod, would be about an 15% DPS increase. Auger Secrets could be used instead for slightly less DPS gain of 14%. [Blind Rage] is another option if you find yourself not struggling with energy, providing 56% dps.
Functions with hysteria if [Talons] are built for toxin. Though the 10% status makes it pretty rare, it is strictly better than [Primed Continuity].
If running [Sacrificial Pressure] on [Talons], this 180% damage bonus would be an extra 61% DPS.
Molt Augmented
60% strength is another 40% DPS because of extra warcry attack speed and hysteria damage. Note that warcry and hysteria snapshot strength bonus, so you must recast to take advantage of the stacks. For shorter missions, you may prefer Molt Efficiency, Arcane Strike, or Arcane Energize.
While [Umbral Intensify] offers an attack speed boost to warcry, it isn't enough dps to overcome the gain from [Precision Intensify]. [Precision Intensify] is about 9% more dps, has much lower drain, and can be reduced further without an umbra forma for more starting energy.
Energy Options
Does not need to be maxed. But getting energy over 500 is important for using Violet Archon Shards.
Forma
Increasing starting energy by using additional forma will help kick-start hysteria and duplex sentinels at the start of the mission. Every 1 capacity is an additional 5 starting energy.
A strong sentinel with duplex bond will generate a lot of energy orbs for you. With the costs of hysteria and fireblast, you should usually have 2-3 sentinel duplicates running around killing things for you.
Blight Weapon
Blight melee + Naramon focus school to easily trigger the Blight effect for energy, movement speed, and AoE viral.
Energy orbs give over double energy if you shoot them using a weapon with this mod.
Archon Shard
1 amber for energy orb effectiveness
Without [Primed Flow], you could use blue shards for a larger energy pool. Even combo with normal [Flow] to get over the 500 threshold for violet shards.
Parazon
Use [Blood For Life] on your parazon to generate health orbs, which will guarantee 55 energy on mercy kill with maxed [Equilibrium].
[Blood For Energy] also an option, though less effective than life considering [Equilibrium].
Arcane Energize
Intermittent, but effective. Important to have a bigger pool to not waste the excess energy if the proc happens at higher energy values. More helpful for Duviri as you will not have a companion to provide energy.
Molt Efficiency
36% duration will help reduce hysteria drain.
Emergence Dissipate
The energy is pretty miniscule unless you hit a group, but operator arcanes aren't that useful across the board.
If you are actually in hysteria all the time, armor isn't relevant. Having a lower rank aegis still gives the full crit benefit, so you just gain starting energy.
Helminth Subsume
Reason to not run Narrow Minded (on top of that ruining the fun of rip line).
Terrify
- AoE 100% armor strip through walls.
- Unfortunately makes enemies run away
Fire Blast
- Knocks down enemies, opening them to ground finishers, which is hysteria's strongest combo
- 75%-87.5% armor strip scaling with the heat proc activation. 93%-96.5% strip with one corrosive projection. 100% strip if two people have corrosive projection.
- Unfortunately line of sight
Dispensary
-Equilibrium turns this into an easy free max energy ability
-Health orbs can accelerate sentinel recovery if using restorative bond
-Can be recast repeatedly if you just want to drain energy for duplex bond sentinels
Lycaths Hunt
-Provides energy while actively killing things
-Health orbs can accelerate sentinel recovery if using restorative bond
-Potential for unlimited uptime (difficult as enemies generally die very fast)
-Can't be recast, which can make spawning [Duplex Bond] sentinels harder
Exclusions
Waste of an aura slot where you could instead be using [Steel Charge] or [Corrosive Projection] to bump DPS.
The +45% to crit chance is also not that useful compared to 180% damage bonus when gladiator mods are giving so much crit already.
Would be a 60% DPS boost, but I prefer lower ability costs.
There is information out there saying slide attack counts towards this bonus. It does not. Silence does allow stealth damage multiplier, but testing shows that only gives a DPS increase of 30-10% with less impact for higher crit tiers. On top of being unreliable to trigger. It can also not be re-cast, making spawning additional [Duplex Bond] sentinels more annoying.
Beware
High level infested ancient disruptors can drain all of your energy in one hit, pulling you out of hysteria and killing you because of hysteria's self damage. If you are using a secondary, aim gliding to pull it out occasionally will reset the stored damage to reduce the changes of this happening.
Arbitration drones are immune to your exalted weapon, so you need your sentinel and its clones to take care of them, or have another weapon available.
