With the addition of the Incarnon Genesis system, the [Strun Prime] has gone from a mediocre manually reloaded shotgun to an absolute beast of a gun. With the given upgrades, the gameplay for the [Strun] Incarnon will be to be in its Incarnon mode as much as possible. It only takes 1 or 2 [Point Blank] headshots to fully fill the Incarnon gauge and as such I recommend the following:

Evolution 1: Blazing Barrel
The Multishot buff is leagues better than a bit of Punch-through.

Evolution 2: Rapid Reinforcement
This upgrade affects both switching to Incarnon mode as well as the manual reload of the [Strun]. Given our playstyle, Galvanic Reload is worthless. If you don't mind the reload speed, you can take Swift Deliverance

Evolution 3: Elemental Balance
Some of you might be wondering "Why not run more crit? More crit is good!". Technically, yes, more crit can be good. But based on the title, there's a very specific reason we're taking this upgrade. With the current mod setup, Commodore's Fortune only gets us to 180% crit chance in the Incarnon mode, and we can already hit 144% crit chance without it. But Elemental Balance gives us something absolutely stupid in the best way possible: Over a 500% Status Chance. That's 5 guaranteed Statuses on a target with every single explosive shot.

There is no contest. Run that Status Chance.

Alternate Options

• If you want Evolution 2 to be Swift Deliverance and want to keep some reload speed and give up a bit of Status, replace Frigid Blast with Chilling Reload.
• Do you want more status? Throw in a Forma to replace Incendiary Coat with Blaze
• Want to run Shotgun Vendetta instead of Primary Merciless? Go for it. I personally prefer the damage of Merciless but there is no Self-Stagger in Incarnon mode. Go nuts!
