Perfect Voruna: Infinite Health & Energy, Hybrid One-shot Steel Path Tank

This is a very expensive build, but [Voruna] has the power to match the investment.

Gameplay

With this you can basically just just press 3 and melee to kill everything in the star chart. For higher levels, you have a bit of duration for your melee crit dmg buff from your 1 and the extension from your 3.

  • If you ever encounter a beefy boy you can't one shot, mark them with your 2, then Hold your 3, and Heavy. This will save you 60% of your combo without even modding for it, and one shot them.
  • Gloom is subsumed over your 4 for very high levels/endurance content. This will be your main way of staying alive by CC-ing enemies and also healing you.

Subsume Options

[Voruna]'s 4 is garbage, so it's a free subsume slot. You have a lot of options, but the ones I can actually recommend are Gloom, Pillage, Nourish, and Eclipse.

  • Gloom provides CC and survivability. With Molt Augmented and your Strength, you will be well over the cap for the Gloom slow - S tier subsume for Voruna.
  • Terrify is a quick cast to strip beefy boys of their armor. Unfortunately you would have to slot in creeping terrify unless you like chasing - A tier.
  • Pillage provides armor [Shred] in a wider AoE and some good shields, while also not needing you to hold your 2 for Status immunity, so you can permanently Hold your 3 or 1 - A tier.
  • Nourish provides viral which is good for priming and adding damage to your melee with Condition Overload, as well as boosting your energy economy - A tier subsume.

Eclipse, Roar, Warcry are all nice, but are basically just more DPS. Which again, is not something Voruna struggles with. If you use Warcry, replace Arcane Strike with Arcane Fury or any other "to-taste" Arcane. With any of these, you're going to want to run the Adrenaline Variant of the build: https://overframe.gg/build/438792/

Larva and Airburst are great for spreading her 2 since her 2's spread radius is pathetic even with [Stretch]. and by consequence extending her 3 duration by grouping enemies. If you use this, you can get away with less duration.
Elemental Ward is also another decent subsume but there are better options.

Survivability

With a Decaying Dragon Key and an Augur mod on your [Epitaph], you'll be able to shield gate pretty easily since [Voruna] is pretty spammy in nature so this will help your survivability a lot. You will be a bit beefier with [Umbral Vitality] and [Adaptation], which gives you decent sustain from kills thanks to [Equilibrium].

With the added tankiness, you can also run Hunter Adrenaline to turn that health damage into Energy with this build variant: https://overframe.gg/build/438792/

Weapons of Choice

  1. Primary - something to take out nullifiers
    -[Phantasma]:
For [Voruna], I recommend running Primary Dexterity just for a bit of combo counter. You should be running Naramon anyway but this will still add a bit of comfort.

  2. Secondary - Primer for Condition Overload / Lycath's Hunt
    -Epitaph: https://overframe.gg/build/438780/epitaph/shield-gating-primer-epitaph/

  3. Melee/Main Weapon (literally any melee with decent range works, but Heavy Attack melees work best)
-Corufell (works well vs airborne targets): https://overframe.gg/build/438800/
