Hi! [Caliban] is hot so I put together a build for him. The key idea here is that Fusion Strike will have 100% armor strip at the point in the mission when it's actually relevant (and as a very minor bonus your Lethal Progeny will level up as you fight)
Mods, weapons:
- Natural Talent, Equilibrium, and Thermal Transfer are flex slots
- [Rolling Guard] and at least one source of energy to shields conversion are really all you need for defense (slapping Augur Pact on a secondary is perfect)
- Primed Sure Footed lets you use explosives with impunity
Helminth:
- Thermal Sunder can be spread around for some extra cc, gets a nice little boost from Sentient Wrath, and, when augmented, buffs you, your Lethal Progeny, your teammates, your companion, your on-call crew, your specters, your Clem Clones, whatever
- Gloom and Elemental Ward (Toxic) are solid alternatives if you want to free up that augment slot (and I guess Roar)
- Airburst, Ensnare, and Larva are notably less important for Caliban now that Fusion Strike has a built in implosion effect
Arcanes, operator, companions:
- I almost exclusively run Zenurik with Magus Lockdown + Magus Repair
- Panzer Vulpaphyla with [Viral Quills], Synth Deconstruct, and Hunter Recovery is a useful companion in general, but here Synth Deconstruct also synergizes with Equilibrium
- Theorem Infection is EXTREMELY tempting but requires some tough decisions about what to drop and what to keep
