Verglas: Common Sense Edition

Edit: 10/14/21
After reviewing comments on other builds, I learned we can drop a forma by using unranked [Vigilante Offense] instead of max ranked, since we're only using it for the set bonus and the punch through is pitiful on [Verglas].

I'm not sure this is as good as it can be, as I've only been playing for a short while, but I noticed many of the other popular [Verglas] builds here made some simple mistakes even I could notice. I'll go into detail on how this differs between the two most common mistakes I've seen so far below, but if I've made any mistakes of my own feel free to [Reach] me in the comments here or through discord at synthesisDreamer#6969.

Why these elements?
Most of the sentinel weapons do pitiful damage, and thus are often relegated to proccing statuses or niche builds to synergize with something a specific sentinel can do. The [Verglas] blows other sentinel weapons out of the water in this regard. With relatively high base fire rate and status chance, in addition to the additional status chance and multishot this build adds, we can get procs extremely fast. The drawback of the [Verglas] though is that even with multishot and [Heavy Caliber] it can only hit one enemy at a time. With [Vigilante Offense]'s punch through we could in theory hit more enemies, they'd have to be directly behind the first enemy hit. Offense is mainly included for the set bonus. The most upvoted verglas build here, renzorthered's viral/elec build, obviously uses electricity. For the life of me I can't figure out why. Most people who have looked into statuses have already dismissed electric as pretty crap compared to other cc or status options, and this is made even worse by the fact the [Verglas] can only target one enemy at a time. While you can effectively lock down a single enemy since you'll constantly be refreshing procs, it's frankly not worth it. Here we're going with heat instead of electricity to burn down targets faster. Due to the innate cold we unfortunately can't change it to corrosive/heat for deimos enemies. On deimos it comes down to a preference of corrosive/cold or blast/toxic. Personally, I'd recommend corrosive/cold for the armor strip and to slow down some of those annoying zergers.

Why [Serration] and Split Chamber?
Another benefit of the verglas is it does surprisingly high damage. While in most gun builds you'd replace serration/[Split Chamber] with galvanized mods, I've heard rumors that galvanized mods don't give their on kill bonuses to sentinel weapons. I've yet to verify this myself though and the wiki doesn't have anything on it. Even if they do work properly, or DE changes it later, we can still consider this a budget version of that build.

Alternative Modding
I mentioned these in the prior settings but I thought I'd add them here too in case anyone is just skipping to this or something. For Deimos enemies it's down to either blast/tox or corrosive/cold, and I'd heavily recommend corrosive cold first. If the issue with galvanized mods is fixed then you can put them in but you'd need more forma.

Use Scenario
Again, I have yet to be able to test this myself but I hope to pair this with a [Dethcube Prime] with [Fired Up] and [Energy Generator] for situations where energy is more of a priority than healing. In most scenarios I run SatireVer's build for a [Panzer Vulpaphyla]. The immortality of the vulpaphylas is by far the best companion ability. No more losing sentinels or stopping every 5 seconds to revive our precious kubrows and kavats. The panzer can also get decent viral proc output, and while the [Hunter Recovery] heal isn't all that reliable or consistent, it's saved me a few times. In essence, panzer for health, this build with an energy generator dethcube for energy.
