Strength is Hildryn’s virtue. Her unique high-damage abilities are powered by her Shields, which can be recharged with Energy. Hildryn proves that a strong offense is a good defense.

The GLOOMY GIRL, Helminth build GLOOM 95% slow and Blazing Pillage.

The ideal weapon for a 95% gloom build is the [Knell Prime]. I suggest taking a look at this build: [Knell] Head Hunter Prime by THeMooN85

This build is perfect for defense type missions which [Hildryn] usually struggles with as well as any steel path or arbitration mission.

NOTE: You have to pay attention to and manage your shields with this build/playstyle. It is very easy to run out when surrounded by enemies

The Gloomy Girl: Helminth build; Replace her 1, Balefire, or her 4, Aegis Storm with Sevagoth's GLOOM. ( I recommend her 4 since you cant use her 2 while using her 4)

  • This build is built to maximize gloom and Blazing Pillage effectiveness.
  • Gloom reaches its 95% slow cap at 273% power strength.
  • Tired of those annoying steel path Interception/Mobile Defense/Defense missions that only Khora can do well? LOOK NO LONGER! Gloomy Hildryn is excellent at these types of missions.
  • Also very good at Disruption if you stay out of the nullifying area around the Demolists/Demolishers and shoot them with a strong gun such as the Knell Prime.
  • GLOOM WOKS ON LICHES AND SISTERS OF PARVOS!!!!!!! My personal favorite build to stop the liches/sisters in place and wail on them.

Blazing Pillage:

  • This mod adds a ton of dps to Hildryn's kit.
  • For Blazing Pillage to work, you must have her 3, Haven already active before casting her 2, Pillage. Haven is much better than it used to be because of the shield gating change. Now, it is actually a valuable ability to keep your team mates and more realistically, your pet/sentinel alive as it constantly regenerates their shields when in your line of sight.
  • If an enemy is hit by Pillage (does not require line of sight) and Haven (requires line of sight), they will be dealt heat damage with a 100% status chance. This may seam insignificant, but a heat proc of 550 damage easily finishes off many enemies when they've lost all shields and armor from Pillage.

[Hildryn] does not need many defensive mods. [Redirection] and [Adaptation] should be plenty in any situation that you would be using this build including steel path. This build tanks with the gloom slow and frequently using her 2 to keep your shields maxed.

  • By utilizing her 2, Pillage in a defensive way, you can easily [Recover] from your shields being completely taken out. You do this by using her 2 every time an enemy is near you. You cast it and let it expire on its own. As soon as it expires, RECAST IT IMEDIATLY if enemies are still close to you. If your shields hit 0, you have 3 seconds of invulnerability. The duration on her 2 is 2.55 seconds with this build, so you will not exceed that time. (You don't have to have it out all the time, but it's good to start a fight with casting your 2 twice to remove all shields and armor from high level enemies)

BEWARE INFESTED: Do not use this build against infested. Because they do not have armor or shields, you will usually not [Recover] enough shields from your 2 even with the extra from Blazing Pillage Also toxic ancients can 1 shot you at high levels even with Arcane Resistance

Arcanes:

  • Arcane Aegis is nice to occasionally help you out if you loose all shields. Normally if this happens, the best thing to do is go into operator and hide until you have enough shields to cast your 2 again.
  • Arcane Resistance Is nice for the occasional enemies like Nox that can give you a toxin proc as well as some other ones including toxic eximus that will spawn more and more frequently the longer you go into a mission. However, it is not necessary as [Hildryn] blocks damage from all status effects while she has overshields (Purple shields) Also, her 2 removes all active status effects on you when you cast it, so you can stop yourself from dying to a toxin proc if you react quickly. (You can also go into operator and wait for the toxin proc to end as a last resort)
  • Arcane Strike(/items/arsenal/2388/hildryn/) can kill many enemies with just Blazing Pillage but heavy units will need some more focused attention after level 60 or so.

Changes to mods you can make in the build:

  • Use any aura you like. I just like to have a bit of extra radar for arbitrations when your pet dies. Using
