Devstream 193 Locks In March 25 for The Shadowgrapher and a Wild New Warframe

Digital Extremes packed Devstream 193 with one of the densest previews of 2026 so far, outlining not just the arrival of Follie and The Shadowgrapher update, but a wider slate of systems, events, cosmetics, and platform changes that shape the months ahead for Warframe.

The centerpiece of the stream was The Shadowgrapher, launching March 25. The update introduces Follie as the 64th Warframe, alongside her signature weapon Enkaus and a new mission type designed specifically around her themes. Rather than a traditional farm, players will earn Follie through Follie’s Hunt, a mode set within the eerie ruins of the Vesper Relay. Squads must gather ink and complete canvases while being stalked by a hostile manifestation of Follie, with escalating pressure and randomized modifiers altering each run.

Follie herself represents one of the most experimental designs the team has attempted. Her abilities revolve around spreading the Inkblot debuff, manipulating space through painted traversal, summoning constructs from a customizable Sketchbook, and suspending enemies in airborne executions. The Sketchbook system allows players to pre configure tactical creations before entering missions, effectively adding a modular layer to her kit that can generate hazards, utilities, and distractions on demand.

Enkaus complements this design as a beam rifle that spreads ink across targets and interacts directly with Inkblot afflicted enemies. Its alternate fire enables splash effects and finishing potential, reinforcing a playstyle focused on setup and payoff rather than raw damage alone.

Beyond the new frame, Digital Extremes revealed Atragraphs, a new cosmetic category that gives Mods alternate art with animated, foil like presentation. These collectibles are meant to expand long term personalization without altering gameplay power, continuing the studio’s push into visual customization as a parallel progression path.

The update also brings a new limited time Operation, Operation Atramentum, arriving shortly after launch and offering cosmetic rewards alongside returning items from previous Operations.

Devstream 193 was not limited to gameplay systems. The team confirmed that Warframe will launch natively on Nintendo Switch 2 the same day as The Shadowgrapher. The new version targets improved performance, enhanced visuals, and additional control options tailored to the hardware.

Anniversary celebrations also begin in March, marking 13 years of Warframe with returning Dex cosmetics and themed alerts spanning several weeks. These annual items continue to serve as both nostalgia and onboarding incentives for newer players.

On the cosmetic front, Gauss and Grendel are receiving a paired deluxe collection nicknamed the Eat and Run set, leaning into their contrast of speed and appetite with new skins, attachments, and emotes designed to highlight their personalities as an unlikely duo.

Quality of life changes are also on the way. Survival missions are gaining an optional mechanic that allows players to discover items that accelerate objective timers, offering efficiency for those who seek it without altering the base flow of the mode. Clan focused improvements are planned as well, including new social features, matchmaking options, and incentives for playing alongside clanmates.

Looking ahead, the developers confirmed that TennoCon 2026 will take place July 10 and 11 in London, Ontario, with tickets going on sale immediately following the stream. The event will once again feature panels, community showcases, and the return of the TennoConcert.

Taken together, Devstream 193 framed The Shadowgrapher not as a standalone update, but as the start of a broader year of experimentation for Warframe. Between a highly customizable Warframe kit, a horror tinged cooperative mode, and new approaches to cosmetics and platform support, Digital Extremes appears intent on pushing both mechanical and stylistic boundaries as the game moves deeper into its second decade.
