After Short Delay Warframe Launches Worldwide on Android, Bringing Full Cross Play Support

Following a brief delay to address technical issues discovered during regional testing, Digital Extremes has officially launched Warframe worldwide on the Google Play Store for Android devices. The global rollout was previously postponed after developers identified a login loop affecting certain hardware, a problem the team chose to resolve before expanding access. With those fixes in place, the long running sci fi action RPG has now arrived on Android as part of the studio’s continued push toward full cross platform accessibility.

With the Android release now live, players can jump in and play across all supported ecosystems thanks to Cross Platform Play and Cross Platform Save. Mobile users can seamlessly join friends on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, and Nintendo Switch, with support planned for Nintendo Switch 2 as well, further unifying Warframe’s global community.

Android players are arriving at a particularly active moment for the game, with access to the evolving Origin System and recent updates including The Old Peace. Digital Extremes says bringing the experience to Android has long been part of its goal to make Warframe playable anywhere, allowing more players to engage with its fast paced combat, story driven quests, and extensive customization options.

To celebrate the launch, players who download and log into Warframe on Android by March 4 will receive the Cumulus Collection, which includes exclusive weapon and armor cosmetics along with resource boosters.

The Android version supports devices running 64-bit Android on ARM64 processors, Android OS 12.0 or newer, and at least 4GB of RAM. Additional compatibility details are available via the Google Play Store and official forums.

With this release, Warframe takes another step toward total platform parity, ensuring that whether you play on console, PC, or now your phone, the Origin System is only a login away.
