Gauss: Null Star/Dispensary/Quiver - Tank

Kinetic Plating allows [Gauss] to have massive damage resistances depending on the type of content that you're running. His battery passive also increases his shield recharge rate and recharge delay. We abuse this along with a subsumed defensive ability and a few mods to make [Gauss] feel nearly invincible outside of very long endurance runs.

Thermal Sunder is replaced because we don't have enough range to utilize it. This means we lose access to armor stripping so ensure you bring either some way to deal with armor or damage that goes straight through it by abusing slash procs.

Null Star is chosen because it pushes our damage resistance even further due to the high duration. You shouldn't have issues with losing the orbs unless you're running a melee [Gauss] but if you are replace the [Streamline] with the [Neutron Star] augment. Remember that this only increases the damage resistance to your health and not your shields.

Dispensary and Quiver also work but they change the fundamental purpose of the build and you have to tweak the survivability mods.

[Brief Respite] gives you another free hit of damage every time you use an ability. It can be replaced but it hurts the survivability.

[Rush] increases our sprint speed. This synergizes well with his passive to build battery meter. It can be replaced with many other exilus mods but the easy option is [Vigilante Pursuit].

Duration is maxed because it has an interesting interaction with Redline. The buffs scale off duration instead of ability strength. Abilities that drain battery have a slight negative synergy with this depending on how you're using them but the massive QoL increase is worth it. It also synergizes with our chosen subsumed abilities.

Ability strength isn't touched. You don't need any more ability strength but Kinetic Plating doesn't give you full damage reduction if you dip below 100%.

[Quick Thinking] pairs perfectly with Kinetic Plating as you build energy as you take damage. Kinetic Plating has a battery drain cap per hit so this essentially means that as long as Kinetic plating is still up you shouldn't be able to die. It also protects you from any staggers that [Quick Thinking] forces onto you when you take high damage.

[Hunter Adrenaline] can be replaced with [Streamline] if enemies have slower but higher damage attacks as [Rage] mods do not benefit as well in those situations. This will mainly come up against infested.

Arcane Aegis gives us a chance to become completely invincible for 12 seconds due to the way the game handles shield gating and constantly regenerating shields. It can be replaced with any other arcane if you don't like the RNG aspect of it. Arcane [Guardian] is probably the call.

NOTE:
Please take caution as the build has a hard cap on how much damage it can tank as extremely high level enemies are still able to gib you even when they only are able to do a microscopic fraction of their damage.
