Soma Prime: Xen0R4ce

[Soma Prime]:

Note: This build is not optimal for Orb mother or Eidolon take downs. There exist builds for these but the mod setup will be more geared with multishot and other elemental damage mods. THIS BUILD is meant of long endurance and to clear every day missions up to Arbitration and Steel path level of content.

Not Recommended Actions:

  • "Heavy Caliber" -- because the accuracy penalty will waste shots which will decrease the chance of procs and decrease your effective weapon range. Since the weapon has a poor base damage but high critical multiplier it is often better to run extra critical chance and status multipliers as the weapon’s primary source of damage will be from the True damage caused by slash. Due to armor scaling from enemies in high levels the armor will negate most of the physical damage being dealt.

  • "Argon Scope" and "Bladed Rounds" -- in situations where the player experiences poor aiming accuracy this mod will be heavily affected as the bonus the mod provides will not proc. Making the weapon less viable. Also given the weapon’s high critical chance just from "[Point Strike]", which is also a cheaper and more common mod, this setup is not really recommended. Furthermore, "Point Strike" will offer a much more consistent performance.

  • "Shred" -- or other fire rate mods can benefit the weapon depending on the player but will decrease the weapons overall damage output. Regardless if the player feels the necessity then this can be placed to replace the faction mod. However, there will be a decrease in performance in overall DPS (Damage Per Second). Also, if the player chooses this setup then they will require trigger discipline (take disciplinary shots). However, Arcane Acceleration can be more beneficial.

Mods Explanation:

  • "Serration" + "Split Chamber" -- the damage mod "[Serration]" increases the damage of the slash procs and "[Split Chamber]" allows you to have a 90% chance to shoot a second bullet per shot effectively giving you 100 bullets in addition to the 200 bullets you are firing, a total of 300 bullets being fired with a magazine of 200 ( MAGIC :D ). "[Amalgam Serration]" is also viable as 10% decrease in damage is not very detrimental but it is a mod that is heavier on mod capacity hence why it is not placed in this loadout. (Author's note: not enough Endo…)

  • "Hunter munitions" + "Point Strike" + "Vital Sense" -- is a very powerful mod for high critical chance weapons as it provides extra slash procs in combination with the weapon’s innate high slash damage from its IPSD (Impact, puncture and Slash Damage). This is also the reason why "Vital Sense" and "Point Strike" is implemented to compliment this mod to the fullest.

  • Primed Bane of Grineer -- this mod is in the faction mod category, essentially some of the best mods you can place on weapons. In the case the player does not have this mod and only has "[Bane Of Grineer]" the player can take the alternative and replace it with "[Vigilante Armaments]" instead. This is not due to the increase in damage as there is only a 2% difference between the "[Bane Of Grineer]" and "[Vigilante Armaments]", the reason is the 2.5 multishot that the mod provides and the potential increase from 5% to 10% enhanced critical damage that the mod provides.

  • "Rime Rounds" + Malignant Force" -- to create viral elemental damage. This effectively increases the damage of slash, IPSD and other sources by 375%.

Other Suggestions:

  • "Hammer shot" instead of "Primed Bane Of Grineer",
  • "Primed Cryo Rounds" or "Cryo rounds" instead of "Rime Rounds",
  • Riven mods with Critical chance, Multiplier , Damage, Toxin, Cold, ammo capacity, magazine capacity;
