Caustacyst, a cool looking scythe

[Caustacyst]: a scythe that looks kinda neat.

So basically it's a weapon alright, and it has a heavy attack special mechanic. On heavy attack, it spreads a corrosive sludge on the floor in a straight line. Neat, fun, and pleasant to play with. Is the weapon generally good? Well, it isn't nikana prime 2.0... It is fun tho if you don't mind spending some time/plat on the stance that is.

Basically, the build is about hitting stuff many times, and the fact that the start-up damage sucks helps you out with it. Once you get the combo going you should get bonuses from the [Blood Rush] mod and [Condition Overload] thanks to 96% status proc chance. But there can be some changes.

Other possibilities:

[Drifting Contact]:
The mod itself isn't that big part of a build even tho it helps with keeping the combo. Additional 10s is nice but more damage is nicer. I personally use this build on wisp which gives an attack speed boost, otherwise, you could change it for:

  • Berserker (You should keep the blood rush mod then)
  • Fury (Primed Fury if you're ready for an additional forma)
  • Molten Impact (Sadly another forma. I'd advise using something different than cold/toxic. Boosting viral damage is aight, but for more bonuses from Conditional overload i think heat/electric could be better)
  • [Corrupt Charge] (Use this mod if you can't be bothered to stack the combo just to miss every single target with the heavy attack. Immediately change [Blood Rush] as well for some additional damage with the +90% damage type mods or a 60% stat + damage mod, as proc chance will drop to something of 80%. If you play a bit with mod placement you should have 15 additional capacity and one mod slot open so 75% of mods should fit without additional forma)

[Blood Rush]:
The mod in itself is nice, but boosting 9% crit chance only by 0.6*crit per combo isn't that nice I admit. Still, the weapon has a heavy attack mechanic and heavy attacks benefit from combo multipliers. Here is some potential replacement:

  • [Gladiator Vice] (In case you're not really decided on keeping or removing Blood rush. Keep in mind, it's much, much worse than blood rush in terms of crit chance bonus but whatever helps, helps)
-[Fury] ( Or primed version. No additional forma needed in for both case. Not really needed if you use something a warframe that boost your attack speed. Otherwise I'd highly suggest this)
-[Buzz Kill] (or any of the +90% damage type mods. The more different damage types you have the more conditional overload will boost damage so heat/electricity may do more than [Buzz Kill] itself)

And of course, [Primed Pressure Point] for [Pressure Point]. It will fit without additional forma if you haven't changed anything else in the build.

Hope it somehow helps with making this weapon pleasant in use ;3c
