The Ensnaring Tornado Storm

Hello everyone and welcome to my first build [Overview] and it’ll be on the frame that people tend to forget about and that’s [Zephyr]. With the helminth system, a lot of frames were given new life and some frames also got powercreeped in ways you couldn’t imagine. [Zephyr] had probably gone through the most drastic of progression and in that she’s finally able to do some dps and that’s all thanks to [Khora]’s subsumed ability Ensnare replacing her Tailwind. Now when I mean dps, I’m talking about some crazy nuking potential. Something along the lines of [Khora] and [Mesa]. Yes, even [Zephyr] can nuke extremely fast and here is how. Before helminth, she was never able to utilize the most interesting part of her kit Tornadoes. Tornadoes actually has one of the best damage amplifying properties in that they will do 100% of all damage done to them by Warframe abilities and weapons and they will also do 100% of the status prove and carry the crit chance as well. This applies to EACH tornado by the way so if all tornadoes were affected by any weapon, they all will deal 100% of that damage, status procs and crits. And the crit damage amplifier for tornadoes is high key insane, dealing 200% of all crit damage and that applies to each tornado. So similar to [Mag], [Zephyr] nukes with weapons but unlike [Mag], you can use any weapon you want for the nuke just as long as they boast good crit stats and can deal high damage like the [Rubico] Prime, Kuva Chakkhurr, Amprex, etc etc. It is best that for whatever weapon you choose, they should be modded with viral/hunter munitions or something even more devastating for tornados, electricity/[Hunter Munitions]. Electricity is known to the best damage over time procs and the slashes from [Hunter Munitions] along with the properties of tornado+ensnare will straight up delete groups of enemies even in endurance Steel Path runs. Also, turbulence is a great survival tool as bullets/projectiles will straight up not hit you. Now before the helminth system, [Zephyr] was known to be a niche cc frame that’s not that useful. But with the new helminth system, her [Flow] and play style completely changed, having a new nuking potential that can even rival [Khora], [Mesa], [Equinox] and maybe even [Saryn]. Here’s to say that [Zephyr] can actually compete with the upper echelon of high tier frames. I believe she has now become that good. Tornadoes however isn’t always consistent depending on the tilesets you’re on but in most cases that they work, they do devastating damage upon the battlefield. She has become a frame similar to [Mag] as a nuking weapons frame but has become more unique and more powerful in many aspects that also feels fresh and interesting. The ensnare+[Funnel Clouds] combo is truly a devastating combo and you can even do it with something like the [Lato Vandal] modded for just electricity and it would nuke faster than [Mag] with a [Secura Penta]. So in conclusion, I believe [Zephyr] with the right setup and the investment can be with the greats and can give you a satisfying experience that will leave you shocked to see a [Zephyr] nuking and a nuke that’s fast.
