Arguably to get the most from your special reward rifle, you need to ignore its primary fire mode as it is mediocre, especially when you compare it to any of he vast number of other rifles out there. Instead build like this for the alternate/secondary fire mode, changing the weapon into a fast semi firing sniper with the gimmick of auto vision head shot reticles and infinite world/terrain/enemy punch through. Given the decent crit on the easiest head shot weapon, a few bullets and every 100+ heavy target will bleed out to the huge hunters munitions bleeds.
