Shocking Utility [Volt]
All abilities are useful in this build.
Shock Trooper + Speed + Shields for damage, defense and utility. Discharge+Capacitance for CC and shield regen/overshields.
Long press the 1 to get a big damage boost, press the 2 to give fire rate/attack speed/movement speed, press the 3 and then pick up the shield to get defense and a big boost to crit damage for secondaries and melee. The 4 gives you overshields and CC when neeeded.
Pair with weapons that have high crit damage since shooting through the shield gives a 2x multiplier to it.
Abilities
Stats
High Duration to keep Shock Trooper / Speed / Shield / Discharge CC up for a while.
Some Efficiency to allow cheap casting. A very viable option is to swap Streamline for Fleeting Expertise. This will drop duration most significantly on Speed to just 17-18s, the others are still quite long. However energy costs drop to 10, 10, 20, 40 respectively and more than make up for the drop in duration. This is a matter of taste and use of abilities, experiment.
Range and Strength are neutral with a small boost to strength since it helps Shock Trooper and Speed in this build. Range is a very important stat for Discharge - drop it too low and [Capacitance] will not be able to build up as much overshields or so quickly. This is again a matter of individual taste, maybe you don't need to max out overshields with one cast. Stretch/Power Drift can be swapped Intensify/[Cunning Drift] to suit your taste here.
This is a very strong mod with the shield gating changes. When shields drop (there's a blue effect and a special sound), roll to get 3 seconds of invulnerability - way more than you need to cast Discharge which will CC all nearby enemies and [Capacitance] will restore some degree of shields before [Rolling Guard] runs out. [Capacitance] will continue to fill your shields to the overcharge limit even if you move away.
Roll when you take any status proc and Rolling Guard will wipe it out. No more fearing slash/toxin procs or even heat/electric/cold.
It's a very versatile mod and allows using base health in this build, along with shield gating on a frame that can [Regen] shields on demand through [Capacitance].
