MY PET IS JUST A MERE TOOL

Here, we focus on using pets purely as utility tools—enhancing your Warframe’s efficiency, loot gains, enemy debuff, energy economy (kinda), and overall gameplay flow. No reliance on their damage output, no tanky builds for survivability—just the most practical and mission-flexible setups that fit seamlessly into any Warframe loadout. Whether you’re farming, running high-level missions, or just looking for ways to improve your experience, this guide will help you turn your pet into a true support tool.

I will explain each of the component that I use in this build

WHY CHESA?
In my opinion, Chesa is the most supportive kubrow in the game. It has [Retrieve] FFS
You can use other kubrow as well if you want. Other kubrow that I found useful is Sahasa because of [Dig]. But you can pick whatever you like!

[Retrieve] and [Neutralize]
This is the reason why I use Chesa. Retrieve is basically mini Nekros that cast Desecrate every 10 seconds!
And Neutralize is basically mini-[Loki] that cast Radial Disarm every 15 seconds!

EMPTY MOD SLOT???
This is where I usually put [Resourceful Retriever] for a chance to get double resources but Overframe currently didn't have the data for it. You can put other kind of Retriever as well if you prefer credits or balanced between both credits and resources.

Fetch
Pick-up [Vacuum], next!

(Primed) [Animal Instinct]
Do you know that in update 34.0 player have innate [Enemy Radar]? Now this mod basically increase the radar range from 30m to 66m. No one can hide from you!
Also you'll get 55m Loot radar! Which is useful to find hidden stuffs like techrot safe biocode, sabotage cache, codex entry, somachord soundtrack, etc.

[Synth Deconstruct]
Free health orb after you kill the enemy attacked by your companion. Works best if you use [Equilibrium] on your Warframe as well. You can drop your (Primed) [Flow] and Arcane Energize and use something else now.

Bond mods
Lots of bond mods are actually useful and interesting! These 3 are the ones that I ended up using:

[Tenacious Bond] : If you equip [Bite] on your pet's claw, you basically get 1.2x critical damage multiplier for your whole loadout!

[Mystic Bond] : This is basically free ability use for you every once in a while. I won't recommend to use it for [Brief Respite] + Augur set shield gate users tho. Sometimes you'll expect to recharge your shield when you cast ability, but later realized that your shield was not generated because your ability didn't cost energy. It could cost your life!
If you use [Brief Respite] + Augur shield gate setup, you can replace it with other Bond mods that you like. Such as [Vicious Bond] (lil armor strip), [Tandem Bond] (melee combo user), or [Seismic Bond] (ability channeling user)

[Contagious Bond] : Status spreader to the enemy! Your companion actually can't kill the enemies with this setup, so this mod could be useless. Unless, you use mecha mods, which will be explained below

[Mecha Recharge]
Shield recharge is fine and all, but thats not why its here. Its for the mecha set bonus. So when your pet marks an enemy, then you kill that enemy, the status procs will be spread to nearby enemies. Here is where it gets interesting: The spread status procs count as pet damage! All those slash, gas, heat, electricity, toxin DOT that kill other enemies will be spread by [Contagious Bond] as well! So there will be some kind of chain reactions going on!

CLAW MODS
idk how to post pictures here lol, so I will just list it.
This is 1 forma claw setup that I use:

[Frenzied Posture]
This is basically used for the pet to tag the enemies and move on to tag another. Mainly to proc [Synth Deconstruct] for health orb (and energy for [Equilibrium] users)

[Bite]
To activate [Tenacious Bond] for 1.2x crit damage multiplier

[Magnetic Claws] and [Immunity Resistance]
These two basically to increase status damage and duration for status procs from Mecha set and [Contagious Bond]

[Mecha Overdrive]
Additional mod for the Mecha set. Also very useful if you run high Status Chance on your primary.

Status Chance mods
The rest of the slots can be used to increase status chance of your pet claw. For me, I use [Shocking Claws] to increase 330% Status chance. You can use other Claw mods as well if you don't like Electricity. Also fill the rest with Venom Teeth/Shock Collar/Flame Gland/[Frost Jaw]. Doesn't matter which one, the elements will be substituted anyway!
