Replacing Kinetic Plating for a Helminth Infusion is my new favorite way to play weapons platform [Gauss].
I've been using Roar, Nourish, [Xata]'s Whisper, Breach Surge, and Energized Munitions.

You should wait for Omni Forma to come out for the Exilus slot.
You don't need to Umbral Forma and/or can run a different Strength mod, even [Augur Secrets], since normal [Gauss] builds mostly just require 2 Forma and maybe an Aura Forma if you want to. The Strength is not very important here. I'm actually going to Omni Forma the Exilus and either his last slot or the Umbral slot. I think Umbra Forma is overall a grief, to be honest.

[Thermal Transfer] was buffed to not combine with your weapon elements and Blast was buffed to be a viable damage type (though you can just run Cold/Heat). These elements fully work with conditionals from Arcanes, by the way. I've yet to test if [Archon Vitality] works with [Thermal Transfer]'s Heat buff, but I doubt it...

If you're not aware, [Gauss] can do stupid things with Arcane Aegis + Shield Recharge Mods. Go try it out yourself! Aegis can be Rank 0 for this to work. Arcane Nullifier is used to prevent Magnetic procs from ruining the Shield synergy. Not sure if both are needed -- seems like Maxed Aegis and [Fast Deflection] might be enough, based on my testing. [Guardian] Break from Vazarin also buffs this capability, as does the Mod Fortitude.

I run 2x Tau Red Shards for Duration and the rest are Casting Speed and Parkour Velocity (neither are necessary -- Casting Speed is even more irrelevant with this low-Range weapons platform build style).
