This intelligent hammer takes an enemy killed by a Heavy Attack and recomposes them as an ally. Any fatal strike with this weapon also performs a Codex scan.

This build is the product of a lazy redeemer build, an unranked Cyte-09 and needing to clear more Steel Path mobile defense / defense. Probably further encouraged by a recommendation of "Infinite Celestial stomps" as a Steel Path approach... which sounds an awful lot like just hitting things with a hammer.
While very effective against infested, it works just as well for map clear on other factions as well, although Grineer may need other kill mechanisms due to element alignment.
Range mods do not appear to work for slam still (check the simulacrum if needed).
Since we aren't worried about range, or particularly aspd, that frees up a few options.
This build instead focuses on raising base slam damage, heavy attack interactions and magnetic procs.
Magnetic quickly strips shields that would prevent status interactions, and also works with melee vortex to help vacuum things for another round. Tek Gravity also helps this interaction for stationary missions such as defense/mobile defense.
[Saxum Thorax] helps push status chance over 100%, helps with a high innate impact damage, and adds extra % damage for lifted enemy kills.
[Life Strike] provides all the recovery you'll need, and the damage numbers are high enough, you'll never really need more than the base 5%.
[Dispatch Overdrive] is particularly helpful when you need to do more than repeatedly smash the same spot on the floor. The extra move speed will help engage the next group of enemies taking shots at your defense objective.
Extra bonus, the Synoid variant will help scan things, and eventually provide summons that will help pull aggro from objectives and you.
Single hits will be slow unless you bring a means of enhancing aspd. Really, you can just go through the entire map with slams and heavy slams.
This will still deal significant per-hit damage to Acolytes, but is not intended to burn through them, so plan accordingly.
Happy smashing.
