Be sure to increase the elemental bonus up to 60.0% if you are able, it will provide a very noticeable boost to your Magnetize damage output.
Progenitor Element:
The progenitor element isn't the most important thing for this build, so you can get away with any element that you would like. Even if the element isn't super important, I generally find Magnetic to be the most useful of all progenitor bonuses. Magnetic status will allow you to deal significantly increased DPS to any units with Overguard, and with the amount of Multishot that the alt-fire has you'll have plenty of chances to proc this effect.
Why These Mods:
This is a setup created with the main intent to use it with [Mag]'s Magnetize, allowing the bubble to absorb the obscene amount of raw damage this weapon puts out. The bubble will naturally absorb 25% of all raw damage dealt by this weapon, excluding the bonus damage dealt from critical hits. This damage will then be dealt every second to anything inside of the bubble, split up into two separate damage ticks. Anything without armor should be vaporized immediately upon touching the bubble!
When running these Magnetize setups it's recommended to bring a source of 100% armor strip, this will allow Magnetize to kill enemies of any level regardless of their armor.
There is the option to replace [Galvanized Hell] with [Scattered Justice], it lowers your total DPS for the convenience of always having your multishot maxed out.
How to Use:
Once you place down a Magnetize bubble, you need simply dump the magazine into the bubble with the alt-fire. Then you get to sit back and watch it do work!
Magnetize Amp Burst: 168,000 Damage
Magnetize Amp Sustained: 115,000 Damage per Second
Magnetize Amp Burst with [Scattered Justice]: 152,000 Damage
Magnetize Amp Sustained with [Scattered Justice]: 104,000 Damage per Second
For the convenience of never having to get kills to keep it stacked you can use [Scattered Justice], it reduces your total DPS by about 10% but means you will more consistently be at your maximum DPS.
Riven Mods:
If you have a Riven Mod for this setup you can boost your Magnetize DPS output by a decent amount. Getting a Riven Mod with stats that make it worth using can sometimes be quite hard, so I'll break down the desired stats to look for below.
Detrimental Stats: (Avoid)
Positive: Magazine
Negative: Damage, Multishot, Puncture
Positive Stats:
- Damage
- Multishot
- Toxin Damage
- Reload Speed
- Heat Damage (Weak)
- Firerate (Weak)
Negative Stats:
- Recoil
- Ammo (Weak)
- Critical Chance (Weak)
Anything that doesn't match the stats above is regarded as a "dead-stat" and does not matter at all for evaluating the usefulness of the Riven Mod.
Example Riven:
- +111% Damage (Perfect!)
- +29% Damage to Corpus (Useless...)
- +64% Toxin Damage (Perfect!)
- +47% Recoil(Perfect!)
Now to determine where to slot it, we look at the stats granted by all the equipped mods, and their corresponding values. The Riven gives Damage and Toxin Damage, so then we look at those stats on the base mods. We have both [Primed Point Blank] with +165% Damage and [Contagious Spread] with +90% Toxin Damage, this means the options would be to replace [Primed Point Blank] or [Contagious Spread] with the Riven Mod. Out of both options it would be best to replace [Contagious Spread] as this would increase the total DPS the most.
