EVOLUTIONS

Evo 1 -- Spectral Daggers
  • Kills create 2 orbital seeking spectral daggers for a max of 6 that explode and spread forced cold x10 to the target they hit and cold x1 to targets around. These daggers apply modded elements and will force whatever you combine with cold which is great for Influence.
    • Daggers themselves CANNOT activate Afflictions
  • 100% melee damage
  • 20% sprint speed
  • 20% parkour velocity
Evo 2 -- Synergist Surety
  • +20 base damage

  • +30% status damage

Evo 3 -- Orokin Reach
  • +1m range
Evo 4 -- Alchemy of War to increase status duration
  • +12% status chance

  • +25% status duration

Why do we use?

CO -- melee base damage per status

Default combo mods used for 12x scaling

P Reach -- Necessary Range

Shocking Touch -- Creates electric for influence and causes daggers to force and spread magnetic for CO scaling and debuffs

Smite -- For double dipping electric and triple dipping influence, must use if able.

  • If no Smite, trade for G Elementalist; by default, E2-SS is additive with Elementalist but still becomes best in slot after faction.

G Steel -- Both CC and CD in one place

Influence -- For aoe nuking with electric which is multiplied by modded electric and triple dipped from Smite

What the Hell is 'Double Dipping'?

People often use 'dipping' out of context and wrong, so i will explain. Dipping refers to when a specific value or multiplier appears in multiple damage formulas during the final damage calculation.

When it IS double dipping -- One value is applied to multiple formulas, say (1x) Our Smite multiplier appears once in base damage formula, (2x) a second time in status DoT formula, and in our case, (x3) Smite appears a third time in the formula for Melee Influence. Our Smite mod has been therefore 'triple dipped'.

When it is NOT dipping – One value is applied to a single formula multiple times, this is when a value is squared, not double dipped. For example, and to stay with the topic, some people like to say that electric is able to double dip from enemy part multipliers and triple dip from faction bonuses, but this is not how that works. When electric counts part multipliers a second time, it is doing so in the same damage formula, so electric is squaring the bonus, not double dipping it. So in such case we would say that electric is squaring (applying twice) a headshot bonus and double dipping a faction mod.

Personal Review -- The Okina Incarnon is an Overperformer (8/7)

With extensive testing of all the incarnons, how does the [Okina] compare?

Is it a good influence platform? Can it Slam? Can it ragdoll? This is what defines a good melee in the current meta. Melees are either platforms for arcanes or mindless slammers. The [Okina] is boring, or more specifically, the influence nuke slop that [Okina] happens to synergize extraordinarily with is boring. No content in the game stands a single chance besides heavy attentuation.

Kills from [Okina] in any form generate a specral dagger, including influence kills and kills from spectral daggers themselves. Just a few kills will give you a cascading mess of endleless seeking daggers that autonomously refresh themselves and play the game for you. This thing currently rivals [Dual Ichor] as probably the best influence nuke slop in the game.

How good is the [Okina] without influence? Its still an excellent Melee, [Okina] daggers still leave a ton of build potential with daggers that seek targets and carry over mod stats that are extremely potent by themselves.
