Excalibur Umbra - Steel Path | Ultimate Endgame

"Kill them before they can kill you" - That's the entire concept of this build.

TL;DR
Pull out Exalted Umbra Blade, and spam melee. While running and bullet jumping around.

Radial Blind and melee/ finish if necessary. Fire weapons, then quickly melee for bonus damage.

PROS: Extremely good in 1v1 situations and in tight spaces like corridors. Very high "dualist" damage . Very, Very, Very simple to use. A- tier build

CONS: Cannot control large open areas like Khora, Saryn or Volt which are S-tier build Area Controlling Builds.

Longer explanation:
As an [Excalibur Umbra] main, I can attest that this exact build helped me complete Steel Path solo.

The basis of this build is the 100% status chance powered [Exalted Blade]. High Damage to single targets. It relies entirely on Exalted Blade as primary source of damage.

Recommended Exalted Umbra Blade build: https://overframe.gg/build/69648/exalted-umbra-blade/exalted-umbra-build-steel-path-level-150/

Streamline, Primed Flow and Fleeting Expertise to ensure maximum efficiency. Exalted Umbra drain of ~0.63 energy/s . Having only Streamline lowers energy drain to 1.75 energy/s. [Fleeting Expertise] has no effect on ability drain unless [Streamline] is also in the build. Note 2

[Augur Secrets] and [Umbral Intensify] to [Reach] 100% status chance and increase damage with [Exalted Umbra Blade].

[Power Drift] instead of [Growing Power] as it provides slightly more damage to [Exalted Blade] at this Strength level, and applies its bonus on the first hit.

For Aura Mods, anything works. My personal preference is [Steel Charge] for the bonus first hit damage. [Corrosive Projection] is another possibility.

[Umbral Fiber] and [Umbral Vitality] are the only survivability mods. You will be able to take a surprising amount of punishment, but you should only receive damage as a worst case. The idea is you can kill the enemies before they can do any real damage to you.

For Arcanes, anything works. I prefer Arcane [Fury] and Arcane Strike to build off of the melee focused build, to increase Damage, Attack Speed and DPS significantly. However, I would recommend other Arcanes for survivability such as Arcane Guardian or Arcane Grace if you are not used to moving very fast and dodging high-damage attacks. Arcane Revives are just the icing on top.

Recommended Load-outs:
Primary: Any Status-build weapons, with different elements than Corrosive and Heat. To build off of [Condition Overload] on the [Exalted Umbra Blade]. Quickly blast, applying status chance, then melee for massive synergistic damage. I would recommend having a weapon with decent range, just in case you need to hit an objective target. (Like the switches on the Sedna Boss Battle)

Secondary: Same as Primary; Any Status-build weapons different elements than Corrosive and Cold, to build off of [Condition Overload].

Melee: Any strong weapon of your preference. Melee is your backup when you are out of Energy, since you cannot use it while having Exalted Umbra Blade active.

What I currently run and recommend: https://overframe.gg/build/37027/nikana-prime/so-i-heard-hampstr-updated-his-build-he-clearly-didnt-learned-nothing/

Equipment:
Energy Restore Pads, on the occasion that you run out of energy due to an Eximus or running into a magnetic field or barrier.

Note 1: The ability will be efficient enough to last the whole session on energy pickups from dead enemies. The Energy Restore Pads are backup and cannot be used while [Exalted Umbra Blade] is active.

Note 2 (Refer to comments) Traditionally, to "truly maximize" this build, it is often recommended against using maxed Fleeing Expertise and [Streamline] in the same build. However, I still highly recommend it. [Fleeting Expertise] on its own (without Streamline) has no effect on energy drain only Activation energy, leaving Exalted Blade's energy drain at 2.5 energy/s, having Streamline only reduces energy drain to 1.75 energy/s. Having both decreases energy drain to 0.63 energy/s. This results in a ~3.968x or ~2.77x energy efficiency increase, which translates into a proportional increase in duration of which you can have Exalted Blade active. (Try it if you don't believe me, check ability stats with the mods in your Arsenal)

PROS: Extremely good in 1v1 situations and in tight spaces like corridors. Very high "dualist" damage . Very, Very, Very simple to use. A- tier build

CONS: Cannot control large open areas or situations where enemies are not stacked behind each other like Khora, Saryn or Volt which are S-tier build Area-Controlling Builds.
