Comfy Builds: Gruesome Garuda

DISCLAIMER: What are comfy builds?

Ever run into a build that puts up great numbers in the demo, but once you try it you end up dying over and over, mashing a single button over and over until it's worn down on your keyboard, or simply not getting as great results on other enemies than the demo demonstrated the build on? My comfy builds will never be the highest performance builds, but aim to give you as comfortable gameplay as possible while still tackling the hardest content in the game. In short, the goal is to be able to watch netflix on the other screen while using the build in highend content effectively. Suggestions for improvements are welcome, but if they lead to decidedly un-comfy gameplay they will be ignored. These builds are NOT beginner friendly, as they often require the rarest mods and arcanes to be effective.

Basic Gameplay

This build focuses on making a very tanky [Garuda], utilizing Bloodletting in combination with [Primed Flow] and [Quick Thinking] to bolster our already significant health and armor pool from Umbral mods to an effective HP in the tens of thousands. I can't recall the last time I actually died on [Garuda]. You simply push Bloodletting whenever you energy drops below 600 to get it back up to 900+ and shoot something to get healed back to full. Very simple and comfy gameplay.

Gloom and Ability Strength

What I'm showing here is in my opinion the comfyest way to hit the 272% strength requirement in order to cap out Gloom's slow. You don't need to cap out Gloom's slow, but it helps not only you but also your crew, so I recommend it. There are options though. Archon Shards, [Growing Power] (saves a forma) as well as [Power Drift] (if you don't mind keeping [Dread] Mirror up for the knockback prevention) are a few ways you can gain further ability power, any combination of which can allow you to drop Molt Augmented in favor of another Arcane.

Archon Shards

I prefer to run one Tau yellow casting speed to make all these Bloodletting casts less annoying, as well as four Tau Red Ability Duration shards to limit Gloom's drain and require less Bloodletting casts. It is, however, entirely up to you. How comfy do you want the build to be, how do you want to get to 272% strength (do you want to get to 272% strength?) and so forth. Orange shards for a secondary weapon build, purples for a melee build, etc are all interesting options. You can even go for blues if you want to build her even tankier (I recommend some additional Armor if that's what you want to go for).

Arcanes

Likewise, there are lots of Arcanes to pick from. I'm using a primary incarnon weapon that benefits greatly from higher attack speed, so I went with Acceleration here, but Avenger, [Fury], [Rage] and Precision are all great options depending on your archon shards and weapon builds. If you want further comfyness, Blessing is also an option for the additional health pool.
